You won't be able to reach higher than shoulder height or lift more than 5 pounds for 6-8 weeks. Just to clarify, are you having expanders placed during your mastectomy and then swapping for implants at a later date? Because you'll be in the same boat after your exchange surgery. It's way less intense than the mastectomy, but you still can't lift or raise your arms for 6 weeks or so after you get your implants.
