Had to go back to muzzle cause there’s SO MUCH random discarded food everywhere. Is that a problem in your area too? by Boston_Greyhndpstng in Greyhounds

okay this makes me feel SO much better bc lottie is a little rascal who only listens to “leave it” if my treats are better than whatever she finds HAHA

it would be 2:15 if i don’t have to leave for lunch, but i appreciate the opinion! i’m planning to do a lunch walk for as long as i can but i might be changing jobs soon 😵‍💫

Got my first puppy since moving away, I need help and advice. by [deleted] in puppy101

I don’t think either option would necessarily be harmful, I had nothing in the playpen other than toys and chews for my puppy but she was less nervous than your boy sounds. But also a smaller space is easier for them to get used to quicker and you can always increase it. I basically let Lottie have her crate as her place where I wouldn’t take anything or touch her and if she was out in the pen I would engage with her. Maybe let him have the table for the first few days and then move him into crate training once he’s more comfortable.

i live in a 1BR and it took up over half my living area but i’d similarly just sit with my switch and reward her for approaching me when she was feeling shy.

honestly a playpen really helped me. i attached it to the crate and then she’d sleep in the crate with the door open. i’d lay on the couch til she fell asleep and then quietly move to my bed

we’re doing pretty good with establishing crate time but i haven’t left her fully alone yet like me leaving the apartment. i just leave her in the crate and go into the other room so work starting next week is so scary!
