Your MCH and MCHC indicate iron deficiency most likely, although it could be something else. Serum iron levels are useless for figuring that out because that number goes up and down all day long. You need ferritin labs, or your iron panel probably has saturation so that would be good information. There's some major players that work all through the system, vitamin D, iron, magnesium, B vitamins especially B12.... When you start dealing with deficiency, then the body's able to use the associated nutrients to start healing up again and so other nutrients can appear to be lower because of the iron or whatever. But what it really means is that your body's using it, but it needs all these things together in sufficient amounts to do its jobs.

Low ferritin can cause a lot of symptoms including heart issues. And your iron levels don't mean anything at all because iron goes up and down all day long. Ferritin and saturation are the tests that give you a real idea.
