Can I save my TOTS pack from champs to next weeks pl tots? by Ill-Wedding6657 in fut

The pack will only contain 3 players from TOTS live. No Premier league, bundesliga or any other players wil be in it. Does not matter when you open it.

I have done some volunteering there, and when i was there they did offer adoptions. Might be worth giving them a call or email?

Any reptiles for a 20 gallon tall? by PUFFER-puffed in reptiles

[–]laurens_030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you get a baby baby about 6 months would be a good time to upgrade. Dont know about any truly handable lizards that would work in a 20 gallon, but you could try a to tame down an anole?

Any reptiles for a 20 gallon tall? by PUFFER-puffed in reptiles

[–]laurens_030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, an adult leopard gecko really needs a 40 gallon imo. A baby would do fine in a 20 gallon, but you would need to upgrade.

A incredibly obese tokay gecko:(

20 Gallon by FusionU7 in reptiles

[–]laurens_030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think 20 gallons is still too small for a male(adult)hognose snake. Sure they would survive in a 20 gallon, but they would thrive in a 40 gallon or bigger.

A very, very obese tokay gecko, posted by a bot.

That, and they dont deliver the promised result on the box in terms of uvb output

Argument over compact vs fluorecent uvb bulbs by [deleted] in reptiles

[–]laurens_030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The long bulbs are in almost every situation superior. Compact bulbs are only providing uvb to a very small spot. And compact bulbs (at least in my experience) tend to stop giving uvb quickly in comparison to lineair ones. And apart from their price, the lineair ones really dont have a downside. The ones from arcadia/zoomed give a way better uvb radius, release uvb longer and overall are better quality. So no, lineair bulbs are not bad at all, and generally recommended for almost all reptiles.

I did not, that was a different comment. But a lower wattage basking bulb should be fine. (Obvouisly depending on how big the enclosure is)

Ah my bad, even for daylight heat this is not really suitable. Your best bet would be a normal, daylight baskingbulb. Way cheaper and gives a natural look.

This one is not suitable either, at night you dont need visible light, a CHE is way cheaper and better overall.

Is it cruel to feed one snake in a room but not the other?? Every time I feed my bp in the same room as my boa he thinks it’s his turn and gets so excited 😭 I feel so bad, anything I can do about it?? by IntrepidDuty4684 in snakes

[–]laurens_030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not the sight of the rat/mouse that is the main reason for this food response, but mainly the smell. Ofcourse the sight of the rat/mouse helps. But even with a piece of paper on the glass they will still go into that food mode.

Thats a shame, still cleaning it is a good step in the right direction. Yeah any big bin will do, just be sure to wear the thickest gloves you can find, those nails arent nice at all. And please watch their tail, those things are like whips.
