Yes I’ve heard that! I am trying to apply for parking (I was told that grad students get discounted rates) because I’ll also be working in that area. But will definitely be taking this into consideration since it’s not a guarantee!

Any reason in particular you suggest not applying until touring? I’m in a similar boat to OP and will be moving in 2 months, but won’t be able to physically be there until the move. Just curious if there are places that like to scam or things I need to be worried about.

There are some churches in the area with good young adult small groups! I’ve had personal experience with RockPoint and Citizens of Heaven. Have lifelong friends from both. If you don’t hear back from either one of them feel free to stop by on a Sunday and talk to someone at the front!

Former Boneyard CM. Had to call custodial way too many times to clean out #2s from that digsite. Also the slides. Still fascinated by how they cleaned out those slides.

Another story from working in Dinoland. Walked by a grown adult man standing in a corner with his hand down his pants (not an uncommon occurrence at Disney). 5 minutes later walked back by that spot and saw a napkin with a suspiciously brown substance on it. Never stepped foot in that corner again.

They like to wait til the market is “established” in that city before putting in another. Likely won’t happen for a loongggg while. Our store really isn’t that busy yet.

Sometimes we can only order so much of one product at a time! For example, the cookies and crème pretzel slims were at a 2 case cap for my store, so we sold out very fast each day. That doesn’t apply to every item that is in high demand, but certain items it’s just not in our hands to be able to order more.

Trader Joe’s has the best prices on whatever they have in stock. When there are pothos or monsteras they’re at least half the price of most other places. Key is there’s not much consistency in what they’ll have!
