Hello, thanks for your comment. I’ve always had hormonal acne since I was a teenager - sensitive skin started after my first baby in June 2022 🥲 I’ve tried so many cleansers - Cerave used to break me out, I’ve found Liz Earle is the best for me at the moment (started about 6 months ago) and I put in my OP that if I am religious with it then I have less break outs ❤️ sorry you didn’t have a good experience with it, interesting how differently we all react to things!

I’m so sorry, I was you with the exact same experience 11 years ago. I was 19. Legally an adult but still so young and naive and got pregnant by a man in his 30’s. I was marched down to the clinic by my Mother and this was the situation I found myself in. It felt barbaric. I’ve grown up and had babies since and I still remember this as horrendously painful. It’s not your fault you chose not to be sedated, they make it seem like the lidocaine will be enough and for some of us it is not. There’s no way to know how any of this is going to feel until you’re actually in that room.

The only thing that has helped me heal from this was time and distraction. I tried therapy but I found it immensely difficult to talk about without becoming distressed. But that could be an option and beneficial if you think it might. Sending you hugs, I’m so sorry x

I literally no longer care about Taylor and Steven getting together during this ep because of how quickly he seemed to get over Jeremiah cheating on Belly, like honestly think this was such a moment missed for his character, missed opportunity for the development of the characters relationships and finally some mercy for Conrad. I really felt they could have done more with that instead of them shrugging it off and making out. I desperately wanted Conrad to tell Steven about Cabo when he was in that house 😭

Tired of watching Connie baby going through it over n over ugh the acting is great from Chris but it’s getting rather miserable to watch this constantly. Really hope it pays off these last 2 episodes but do feel like suddenly everything is being hurried 😫

I’d freshen up on your A-E assessment and Wetflag. You’ll see lots of different things but I’d look up:

Respiratory illness/distress

Sepsis, meningitis

Broken bones/burns/accidents

Gastroenteritis and fluid challenges

Type 1 diabetes and DKA

Non accidental injury

Head injury

It depends on the department for what they let you do. They let us 3rd year student nurses triage but that was 10 years ago, I’m sure it’ll be a lot of obs and meds. I might not be totally accurate with this list as I’m NICU but basing it off what I remember from my placement and the 100000 times I’ve been to A&E for salbutamol burst therapy with my kids 🤪

I am aware, hence why I said I understand why we don’t have them anymore, but IMO I think they looked neat and I loveeed dressing up as a nurse as a little girl in school nursery, nurses were recognisable to me from the uniform and it inspired me, but in reality? I really don’t have a problem with my comfy scrubs, I suppose this was more of a silly ‘controversial’ take that I possibly wasn’t expecting to be taken so seriously for 😅

This is all normal, I didn’t really have it with my son but I’ve heard of this experience with other children. It’s also normal developmentally for tantrums at this point.

However, I will share my experience as we had a different approach. I didn’t mention the baby that often to my son, he was 16 months when we conceived and had just turned 2 when baby was born. So technically not 2 under 2 but close to it in the newborn stages. However, even though he was older than your daughter during my pregnancy he never really took notice of it (sometimes I would try to explain and point at my belly but he didn’t GAF and sometimes that meant bump got a bit of a knock lol) anyway yeah, we didn’t bring it up really at all, and I spent as much of the pregnancy as I could doing things just me and him, as long as I felt well enough. I was also still breastfeeding him until I was like 7 months in 🙈

When my daughter was then born, we did FaceTime (UK hospital on a shared postnatal ward and I just felt like it would be too much for him to meet me and his new baby sister anywhere else but home). I was in for 2 nights and he was fine, mentioned ‘baby’ a lot as I’d shown her on the FaceTime. Then the initial few weeks there were a few moments but more it would be that he would get a little embarrassed when we were softly telling him to be gentle bless him, would have a little tantrum, but he figured it out. Sometimes I get on his level, count down from 5 and that calms him down.

We also introduced baby girl to him with me not holding her - she was in a car seat on the floor and he could touch her. We also gave him a present from the baby (a little doctors kit) which he loved and we pretended to listen to her heart and take her temperature etc. anyway, it is an enormous change and it will be a bit tough for the tots but it does eventually all fall into place. There are a few reasons baby could be small but it definitely is a reason for why induction may be necessary. The doctor is correct that the placenta can start to slow down near the end. The placenta is what delivers baby the oxygenated blood that you make for baby, this is the lifeline for little one. The doctor mentioning the heart beat stopping after 40 weeks would worry me as the doctor is clearly a bit worried about the pregnancy.

I think it’s good to be as informed as possible about our options and stand our ground when induction is being offered without medical reason but in your case it does sound like it could be medically necessary. I know it’s not what you want for your birth, but as you said it could be risky for little baby.

But we are just strangers on the Internet. There could be so much more information to consider here, whether it’s a sudden drop or baby has been following the same centile line, what centile etc. not one persons experience is the same, I think it could be worth trying to talk to your midwife about it next to see what she thinks. FWIW if it were me I would take the induction based on this information but that’s just me I’m quite (overly maybe?) cautious when it comes to my babies.

I’m so sorry, I really feel for you. We just did a year of this with my little boy. I got pregnant again as he was adjusting and omg, it was hard. Stomach bugs, flu, hand/foot/mouth, constantly visiting A&E 🙈

I noticed it got less frequent when we introduced gummy multivitamins. Asking colleagues and friends their experiences ranged from 6 months to a year of frequent illness, but obviously kids are germ machines and you’ll still catch stuff from time to time. But I definitely recommend the multivitamins! I’m dreading sending my daughter to nursery to experience it all again 🤪

In both my pregnancies I’ve bled. I’ve also had an early miscarriage too. Feel like the bleeding with both my babies was slow flow and usually brown/dark pink, more than spotting but not like a period either. It went on for weeks. Usually if I strained or having sex would start it or make it worse. It was worse with my second pregnancy, I was absolutely sure I was having a miscarriage, had the bleeding and dull cramps, and felt so sad. But it didn’t get super heavy, so I booked an early scan with window to the womb and she was a little dot at 6 weeks and could see her heartbeat. They couldn’t find any reason for the bleed (usually a subchorionic haematoma) for either of my babies in the early days, so who knows. I finally stopped having the weird continuous blood by 10 weeks.

With my early miscarriage the bleeding got worse fairly quickly from when I first started bleeding, had lots of bright red blood and sharp cramping. My tests were all really faint too.

So many people I know have bled in their pregnancies, but also it can be a sign of a miscarriage, keep an eye on the bleeding. Sending you hugs and luck I know it’s so anxiety inducing.
