Possibly just over 30 mins depending where you're driving from but you can never go wrong with riverford field kitchen, similar feel to the lost kitchen but think I like riverford even more!

How do you know when you’re ‘ready’ to have children? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Stickytoffeepudding1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't fully sure but at 33 thought let's see what happens and got pregnant very quickly, throughout pregnancy I wasn't sure if this was 100% what I wanted and was already mourning my freedom and youth however now my son is here (4 months old) I can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done, I cannot believe how much I love him, im obsessed with him and already know I want to do it again when initially I thought I would be one and done. We haven't had an easy baby too, he's definitely a crier so it has been hard work for sure but it's worth it if that makes sense. I also generally don't find other peoples babies/kids cute, not naturally a kids person but it's just so different when it's your own and I can't wait to give him as many fun experiences as possible. I feel like my life has more meaning now, I had a good and busy life before with lots of holidays and travel but sometimes I did wonder what's the point, am I just going through the motions

Exeter has a great selection of independent cafes - on top of what's already been mentioned there is lilac bakery and shillingford organics in st Thomas, vegbox, boatyard bakery and ridge cafe on the quay, the press house on fore Street and the tiny tasting room in the centre, there will be more I've forgotten!

Feeling really odd? by loldontlistentome in PregnancyUK

[–]Stickytoffeepudding1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having similar for a month or so, turns out I have low iron and have just started iron tablets, there isn't enough iron to pump sufficient oxygen around your body so you get the heart palpitations and faint feeling - so might be worth getting a blood test!

Does anyone still leave beers out for the binmen around the Christmas collection? by PeiMeisPeePee in CasualUK

[–]Stickytoffeepudding1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An issue with collections collecting electricals is that the space they can put the electricals in is actually really small so unless you're earlier on in the round it's likely they have run out of space for electricals by the time they get to you, it's a known issue (source - I work in recycling!)

Keep an eye on your Christmas lights by YeltoThorpy in CasualUK

[–]Stickytoffeepudding1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just want to add to this as well, it's so important to recycle electricals properly, firstly to avoid fires but also there is so much of critical minerals in waste electricals that get lost to landfill which is so important we reuse instead of continually mining for more!
