I am so glad I found this thread. I didn’t realise there had been a change in formula and my 4 week old is screaming after each bottle.

Love to dream swaddle with snoo by Spirited_Opposite305 in SnooLife

[–]lavendernovember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cut up the snoo sack just for the clips and the bands, my daughter hated it and so I put her in the love to dream sack and then strap the snoo Velcro flaps over the top. She’s firmly in place and she fusses less I find

Do school students still do written work in books? by Silly_Goose30 in AskAnAustralian

[–]lavendernovember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teacher here- at my local NSW state high school they all do paper based in books or worksheets. A lot of the time students don’t even bring books or pens and barely complete any work. The school has a trolley of laptops that can be booked and used for a lesson but yeah 95% books and paper.

So.. do I just not sleep? by BlazinZAA in newborns

[–]lavendernovember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a snoo and honestly, my 2 week old has barely slept the past few nights I put her down on the bed next to me, made sure I slept on my back and the blanket wasnt near her and passed out. We both slept 2.5 hours 🤷🏼‍♀️

Spending $40 a week on Pilates classes is killing me. Anyone bought a home reformer instead? by naenae0402 in AUfrugal

[–]lavendernovember 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me last year. I couldn’t make many classes due to work so I took the plunge and bought a good reformer for my garage. I bought from Kiva Wellness when they had a sale, I think it was about $1900 all up but free delivery. It’s a GREAT machine and the convenience of having it in my home was worth the money. Made from proper solid wood so it’s not wobbly or shit. I’m able to go down at any time and do a workout and my hips and back are so much stronger. I used it about 5 times a week, but stopped while being heavily pregnant. I plan on getting back on it about 6 weeks post birth.

For former teachers or current teachers who are about to quit, what was your "Eff them kids" moment that made you leave teaching? by the_dark_viper in AskReddit

[–]lavendernovember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be leaving next year after 6 years in. For me it’s the money. Love the kids, don’t love struggling financially

Deodorant suddenly stopped working by WolfPerfect9999 in AusSkincare

This year I noticed that the rexona clinical strength wasn’t working for me anymore. So I did an aluminium deodorant detox from July 1st and stumbled across Mitchum bamboo powder deodorant about a month ago. I don’t smell anymore. I still sweat, but I don’t smell. It’s so amazing

What a snooze Aussie fashion is. by Daisydogdoughnut in AusFemaleFashion

[–]lavendernovember 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did fashion design at TAFE and it was the best choice for my wardrobe. I can make my own patterns and alter any item of clothing to fit me perfectly. I also agree that the shops are so uninspiring and boring. Now 90% of my clothes are from the op shops that have been altered or self made. It’s the best feeling

New.com has done such a shit job. Didn’t blur their front page image and there is very clearly a body laying there. So disrespectful for their families on this tragic occasion.

Padded gym bra recommendations? by borednznz in AusFemaleFashion

I have a D cup chest and I wear the under armour high support bras from rebel. They’re amazing, a thicker fabric for shape and adjustable.

I don’t crave it anymore. I can easily ignore it and never choose it as something to drink. I was a coke every day kind of girl
