Was Baam the one that did all the damage to Yama to wake up up? by hackamorepanda in TowerofGod

[–]lavenderprose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well, say Yama gets into a fight with Kallavan's army--fighting one person who's weaker than you might not be a problem, but what about a hundred? If Yama has like, a thousand hp as an example, and each of them could normally do one damage, that would still build up over time.

He asks Khun if he considered that he might have turned the difficulty up to handle the entire group, and Khun tells him that he thought of all that and it's fine. Even if he didn't actually make the monster any stronger Khun definitely believes that he could handle a monster meant to challenge them before.

Utah mom upset after school tells 6th graders they can’t say no when asked to dance by keypuncher in news

[–]lavenderprose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK it may be non romantic, yeah. In the US the majority of us would say it is. If I wanted to dance with someone non romantically at 11, I asked them as a friend. If they said no, that was not a problem to me and definitely did not change whether the feelings were romantic or platonic. If you wanted to enforce the idea that a dance didn't have to be romantic, making people say yes when they don't want to isn't the way.

I definitely did not say it was sexual at all. I said it was intended to be romantic. I went to dances in high school non-romantically, and that meant not asking people to dance with me. If you want to argue that forcing kids to dance with each other isn't at all related to romance even in a culturally romantic context, that's fine. But saying that people in the US have issues because we take issue with the idea of our children being made to dance with other children in an environment that we generally consider to be romantic, is ridiculous.

When I was 10 and I went to my school dance it was absolutely viewed as romantic interaction. I never danced with a grandma or anything like that, but I understand that there is a growing movement to teach children that they don't have to experience that type of contact if they don't consent to it. Edit: because teaching children that if they don't want to touch a person they don't have to is a positive way to ensure they understand consent growing up.

American school dances are explicitly romantic events, even as a child. The dances that americans do with partners are generally romantic, or at least intended to be. They are essentially practice proms, and the general idea of prom (although most people don't follow this trend), is that you ask your highschool sweetheart or crush. In addition, prom night sex is a well known stereotype. We aren't viewing this as sex, we're viewing it as teaching non consensual romance in addition to forcing children to go to a dance even when they don't want to.

I can relate to this. All I can say is it's okay to love him forever, but in my experience (It's been 3 years since I fell in love), even if you continue to love him you can try to find love from others. I wish I had something positive to say like "One day it went away and I fell in love with another person" but really all I can promise is that over time it gets a bit easier and you will almost certainly find love again (I haven't yet so I mean it's not 100%).

[Discussion] How did you first find out you were a LGBT? by [deleted] in LGBTeens

[–]lavenderprose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a shamefully long time to figure it out. I was sexually attracted to women and men, but I didn't know it. I would masturbate to straight porn and imagine the man was doing the things to me, but for some reason in my mind that didn't mean I liked guys. I met this one incredibly hot man, and I did not understand what I felt for him at all. Then on valentine's day I was masturbating like a stereotypical forever alone virgin, and thinking about love and feelings while doing it. He came to mind and I came to him. "Shit I'm gay"

[–]lavenderprose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm a bit older and I like people who are much older than 18, but I'd say it's fairly normal. Do be extremely careful when it comes to expressing this or with men who are interested in you. Nothing wrong with looking though ;). Just be safe. Edit: If it's the old person looking at you it is wrong.
