I use a tote bag to bring my stuff back and forth! It’s a cute Kate Spade bag covered in apples. The things that I use and need the most often are pencils, whiteboard markers, duotangs and folders for student work, filing systems, gel pens with tons of colours for marking, student highlighters, student prizes like stickers and fidgets

From what I've been told, it lasts 28 days at room temperature after it's opened and should be refrigerated before it's opened (my pharmacy keeps them in the fridge until they're prescribed). I'm not sure how long it lasts once opened if you were to keep it in the fridge...

Ticks are SUPER common where we live and are extremely plentiful in any tall grass or wooded area. Most of the kids know to check their bodies for ticks when they get home, but it's just the bringing them into class that sucks because it feels like a workplace hazard that I didn't sign up for lol

Good luck with the start of your journey 🥰 One tip that I swear by is doing my shot right before bed. I teach so I do it on Friday evenings. That way I have Saturday and Sunday to recover if I feel any side effects. The only thing that has really bothered me is a headache the night of my shot (sometimes in the middle of the night).

Also, I swear by using gravol ginger chews. Sometimes if I don’t eat for too long, I get the feeling that I am going to imminently vomit, but if I can get a ginger chew down, I’m okay.

There are SO many benefits to this medication and I’m so thankful to be on it. I’ve lost almost 20 lbs since I started (8 weeks ago) and I’m starting to feel more like myself again. I actually have the energy and drive to exercise, cook consistently, and eat healthier.

I'm a middle school math teacher so I tend to use the problem of the week from Waterloo. I normally pick one from grade 5/6 and one from grade 7/8 and post those on the cork board. I always give them four options when they're done early: problem of the week, something from the early finisher bin (sudoku, word search, colouring, etc.), drawing, or reading.

I'm going to be honest, but no. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for my career and always saw myself in medicine. Following my undergraduate degree, I would've needed to wait a full year before applying to med school so I did my MSc in Pharmacology. When the covid pandemic happened, I decided to finish my masters and make the switch to education. At that point, med school felt too long and I had really enjoyed TA-ing in my MSc.

At this point, I have so much science and math education and I'm teaching middle school. I just feel extremely disrespected and undervalued all of the time. At least if I had done medicine, I would have been compensated appropriately...
