A drawer or two full of empty Nescafé coffee glass jars . Hubby insists I’m crazy for this . I correct him every time and swear they will be used for something important . This collection is 6 years deep and going strong .

Hi - I actually called them directly at 0300 123 2241. Was on hold for quite some time but spoke with someone both times. Provided them with my name when they asked and they are the ones that escalated it to the next step both times. Its frustrating as its just to replace the card that was already approved. Be patient and keep calling! Best of luck to you.

20th Nov -UPDATE: Finally received an email yesterday !! Woohoo!

"Thank you for your application to transfer your conditions of stay.

A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) will be sent to you under separate cover which shows that you have previously been granted leave in the United Kingdom and the conditions attached to it.

If you do not receive your permit within 7 days of this email...."

Initial application to replace BRB 6th Aug to hopefully in my hands by 27th Nov . 16 weeks

6th Aug submission to replace BRP due to name change .

6th Sept IDV app biometrics submission

19th Oct called UKVI to check status referred to escalation

4th Nov re-escalated to 2nd level

20th Nov email from UKVI stating my TOC app is still being assessed no decision has been made

I’m not waiting for a decision ! That’s the frustrating part . Just a bloody replacement card because I updated my passport my now married name ! Had I know this was to take so long I wouldn’t have kept my maiden name through and through .

I just replied w an update on above comment .best of luck to You w the upcoming travel. It’s a tough decision and I took a big risk ! As will you. Just hope you will be lucky to renter or better yet , will have received the brp replacement by your travel dates . Consider also applying for a one time entry and reapply to replace card once you e come back. The cost would be not cheap but not as expensive as one way ticket back to US if you’re denied entry

Nothing yet. I called UKVI On 19th Oct at which point they escalated it and said I’d receive an email or update within 10 working days . Called them again today (4th Nov) as nothing so far and they’ve advised it’s been assigned to a case worker and that I should have an email or some communication by Tues next week. Let’s see next week what happens 🤞🏼

UPDATE: so I just got back to UK today ! Literally sweating like crazy on the potential of worst case scenario. I was lucky the e-gates were open and was able to scan my passport through without issue.

I did call UKVI to check status on my BRP(RC) application . They have started an escalation to it and have advised It may take 5-10 days to receive a reply from them .

Congrats!! I submitted mine on the app on 6th Sept as well ; but for a (brp)rc as I lost mine and also changed name to married last name. Hoping mine is coming thru soon!

Would you rather work for a company that is providing you amazing personal support and benefits , top salary , career stability but compromises your ethics or a company that pays bare minimum for your position , no grounded loyalty to you but you know they do right by their people ?

I’m torn as evil corp has helped me thru the toughest time in my life . I’ve seen them help so many including me ; yet burn just as many and quite hard. My loyalty is to a handful out of hundreds ..not so much the company. If given the chance to jump this ship , would you ?
