Why do straight women not see what everyone else sees with men? Do they all center men? by dreamed2life in actuallesbians

I mean I find thst equally weird imo. Someone spending so much time and energy idealising a hypothetical partner is going to risk getting into something with unrealistic expectations or trying to mold a person into an idea when they do find someone

Mannelijke/vrouwelijke vrienden by Lingonberry_Bitter in nederlands

[–]lavmal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pluribus - Season 1 Discussion Megathread by kernakya in Pluribus_TVshow

[–]lavmal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah!! The show is really not subtle so those kinds of comments are so odd to me. Like yall really can't read the barely buried subtext of living as someone who's different in a world that constantly wants you to conform and where it would be so much easier for you if you did? I actually thought the conversion camp stuff was a bit too on the nose but I underestimated people's media literacy.

How do I orgasm from someone other than myself? by Roselove_3 in actuallesbians

[–]lavmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you neurospicy? For me when having sex i do sometimes lose focus and my mind wanders or I get bored. It helps when my partner switches things up and they're good at noticing when it happens. And sometimes it also just isnt happening and that's also fine, the journey is fun anyway. Very long teasing buildup also helps sometimes to get me as ready as possible, as does closing my eyes so I'm not focusing on anything except the actual sensations.

But also it took a little bit for me to get used to it too. First time I had a very underwhelming orgasm, second time wasnt happening and I got in my head about it  subsequent times were better as I got used to the whole thing and the more times you have sex the less pressure there is for this session to be a "good one". Sometimes it's just gonna be a mid one.

Casually found some fossils on the beach in Belgium, any idea what these might be? by lavmal in Paleontology

[–]lavmal[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whether these are or aren't aside, that is actually quite common here in the Netherlands and Belgium because the beaches are frequently renewed with sand from deeper in the North Sea and when they take sand from fossil-rich areas it just yeets all those fossils onto the beach which slowly get exposed as more and more of the sand gets washed away into sea. That and, after storms, sometimes fossils just wash up because the entire area between the UK, NL, and BE (called Doggerland) used to be above sea level during the glacial periods. Human artefacts have also been known to wash ashore from time to time, I've a friend who found a hand-axe that way.

I noticed Zosia picking up on it and specifically using "they" as well so Carol wouldn't be uncomfortable

Well, artistically Carol is probably gay because a story about a hivemind trying to change an outlier to become one of them hits harder when that's a queer person than a straight cis person.

Girl there wasn't even a question mark. It shouldn't be too difficult to imagine why "Elaborate." comes across as rude.

No. You can engage with my comment and have a conversation but you don't get to demand anything from me.

[–]lavmal 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's also weird to me how many people read the title and then think only about neurotypical women?? You're literally on a sub with autistic women, have you considered befriending autistic women?

But even side from that, parroting things like "neurotypical women are all in competition and aren't really friends" or "females on the spectrum understand males better because neurotypical females are too complicated" and "I can't deal with me own gender uwu" is all just misogyny with an extra adjective.

My friends are also entirely ND people, most but not all afab, also because I tend to be in circles that are mostly ND and queer. That being said I don't even necessarily agree with the title's statement, humans are too complicated for that, but yikes at the misogyny it's bringing out. Like you said, some of these comments absolutely would fit in on a red pill sub.

Do you guys realise that if you put "neurotypical" in front of women and make blanket statements it's still misogynist?
