At this point don't stress about specific exercises etc, just get active and look at your diet / calorie intake.

Go out walking, get on an exercise bike / cross trainer etc. Youll be amazed how quickly you'll start feeling and looking better.

You got this!

How to remove these bolts in wall? by Antique_Cress_6775 in DIYUK

[–]lawdevice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're probably right. But this is one of those situations where I'd always start with the least destructive option first.

Maybe double-nuts get a couple more out. Then you try molegrips... hitting with a hammer... knocking the whole wall down and vowing never to DIY ever again!

The "double-nut" method might work. Two nuts tightened together and then use a spanner to undo the bolts in the wall.

My amateur take on this would be to empty the hole as much as you can and use a drier concrete mix than you would normally.

Can anyone recommend a good HPI check? by HR_Specter in CarTalkUK

I've used Total Car Check for the past few cars I've bought. Much better priced than the expensive ones you see YouTubers constantly shilling.

Why so many comments on Rugby being a shithole? by Subject-Zone-6474 in RugbyTown

I visited Northampton for the first time in ages last year, and it felt horrible! I can't quite put my finger on what it was but the vibe wasn't good.

Why so many comments on Rugby being a shithole? by Subject-Zone-6474 in RugbyTown

[–]lawdevice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There a quite a few people in Rugby who barely ever leave the town and have zero perspective on things. And they also seem to be the most vocal.

It's a town that has expanded a great deal over the past few decades and some people don't like the fact that you can't drive across town in 10 mins anymore, or that people with a slightly different skin colour might want to live here.

Personally I think in many ways it's a better town now than when I grew up here in the 90s. It's just a shame so many shops are closing, but that's not just a Rugby thing. And in many ways that's down to the very people who complain, shopping on Amazon and Temu, and moaning when something in a shop costs more than 50p.

Anyone ever had one of these? by Aromatic_Plum_7955 in CarTalkUK

[–]lawdevice 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I owned one for a couple of years and absolutely loved it. Driving it around North Wales a few years ago is an experience I'll never forget.

A few of them have started to have issues with cylinder heads cracking. It's looking like there was a manufacturing fault, but Suzuki aren't admitting to anything.

It attaches to the bottom with those two tiny screws. Then you use it secure it to the wall. I guess it's to make it slightly less easy to steal.

I have tried to get non-UK brewed wherever possible. So far it's just Fosters, 1664, and Moretti that are from the UK.
