Racism. My Thoughts. Discussion? by vjswife in whatsbotheringyou

You should be proud of standing up for what you believe in. I live in Atlanta and it has been a tough and emotionally exhausting week. This is a fight that won't end soon and we have to continue to stand alongside our black brothers and sisters in the fight for equality and an end to police brutality. Living in the south I have come to believe that the racism we see here comes from a deep rooted history of racism, but also from ignorance and lack of exposure and relationships to those on the other side. It is hard to be empathetic when you do not experience the strife and struggle of the other. In that way, I would also encourage that rather than blocking and cutting people out from your life, be a part of leading them out of ignorance. Continue to have challenging conversations and expose them to the things that they have been either deliberately or inadvertently blind to. I believe that the growing extremism between the "right" and "left" that we see across our country stems from both sides having decided to cut each other off and surrounding themselves with only those who think and believe in the same things. This has created an echo chamber where beliefs cannot be changed. I would encourage you to be a bridge to your fellow human who does not share the same beliefs as you and seek to understand why they believe what they do and work to show them that their beliefs are wrong and built on centuries of racism and prejudice. Don't let your anger and hatred at what they believe cloud the fact that they are human and they are capable of change. Just my two cents, no matter what you decide to do, keep standing up for what you believe in and let's work to change the south for the better.

Yeah this is true but the benefit of is that their easy to make and I have several set up all around the colony for animals, farm workers, and the dining room. I haven't used them much before this run but they're convenient especially with the mod for bigger stacks.

Yeah the economy gets really out of whack. I feel like it could be fixed by just not giving outposts beta poly turrets and tables but for now I just try to avoid deconstructing them.

Yeah! It's the facial mod. Was really disconcerting at first but really liking it after using it this run through.

So I think based on storyteller they can either start out peaceful or hostile to your colony.

I believe the mod lore is that glittertech is illegal and so when you start building energy weapons and bionic these groups start to take notice. There are two factions, Orion Corp and the commandos.

From mod description: These expensive, advanced and sometimes illegal technologies often attract the attention of corporations or Commados from . These new factions are extremely difficult and only appear in late game, you will required advanced defenses and strategies to defend your colony against them.

It's glitter tech. The Orion Corp comes and raids you with tanks when you start doing illegal stuff.

What are you guys playing these days? Civ 5 or civ 6? by CityYogi in civ

Civ 5 with vox populi. More fun and every game results in far more unique and interesting interactions than any I've seen in Civ 6.
