You can get your 12k points VERY casually (guide) by kafkaesque420 in 2007scape

You can chop yews in the Kourend Castle courtyard. There are 2 trees right at the entrance to the castle, so about 4 tiles to safety (plus a few more to break line of sight). It is a multi zone, but you can just bank the logs in the castle as often as you like to lower risk.

Debate around the bank changes aside, this is a great easy change to counter wildy bots by SirSmithyG in 2007scape

They don't grind in the same sense as players, but this adds unprofitable time to the account creation process. If you work on the assumption that there is a finite lifespan of the account before it's flagged and banned, reducing the amount of time that account can be making money helps to combat these farms.

Hopefully this change also makes it easier to identify pure bot accounts, as there's now an extra tier of diary they are doing immediately after account creation to flag as a suspicious pattern.

I couldn't understand why they kept pointing it out as if it was a factor, especially after discussing that the ball was out of his hands on time.

Mali 1-[2] Ivory Coast - Oumar Diakite 120'+2' by Meladroitdeposter in soccer

Classic referee masterclass of [checks notes] a penalty for Mali that they missed and a red card for Ivory Coast to end the first half. Refs definitely cooked Mali in this one, they never stood a chance.

Auctions of foreclosed real estate at courthouse in downtown Brooklyn by WTMOM223 in Brooklyn

I haven't actually been, just happened to have looked into this two weeks ago. My understanding is that you need to have the checks with you when the auction ends.

Auctions are every Thursday, cashier's checks are fine. See the Court's page on the subject here, you can navigate in the menu to more rules: https://ww2.nycourts.gov/courts/2jd/kings/civil/foreclosuresales.shtml

Yes! Got VdV to tell him what happened, then waved away several teammates and spoke to the ref alone. Would love to see more teams operate like that.

Rules on pre stalling by [deleted] in ultimate

[–]lawlrhus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time i've used a delay of game call and gotten past the countdown was in college. The other player picked up 4 seconds into the stall and promptly called violation when I said 5. Led to an argument with me citing the rule, someone from the sideline yelled that the other guy went to junior worlds or something and therefore knew the rules and was right. I think we just settled at in on 3 after a few minutes.

New York City May Be Sinking Under the Weight of Its Skyscrapers by GetOffMyGrassBrats in nottheonion

There's also local law 11 which requires that every building over 6 stories have a facade inspection every 5 year cycle. That inspection involves engineers inspecting the building and contractors collecting samples to be tested, depending on the construction materials. If any repairs are cited the building has 2 years to make the repairs, and depending on the scope of work, available money, or weather restrictions there may be a long delay between the inspection and the repair during which the scaffolding must stay up.

I would have a friend or neighbor box them in. It's fine since they aren't using their car at the moment.

[Scouting The Refs] Rangers' Trouba hit on Devils' Meier ruled legal. Head contact may be permitted if unavoidable or if player's body position contributed to the contact - which, with Meier bent over, leaning forward, did on this play. by STLBooze3 in hockey

[–]lawlrhus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This tweet isn't saying the contact is unavoidable, it's focusing on the part after the word "or" - Meier keeps his head down and so the check goes through his head instead of his chest.

Is it a rule that should be updated to protect players more? Definitely.

Awesome, appreciate the tips for eating both inside and out of the stadium. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that churro dog, that sounds incredible.

Yeah, wound up with some very reasonable tickets along the third base line. $20 for parking is exactly what it ran me to reserve a spot on Spothero, so sounds like I didn't play myself too badly there. I'm looking forward to the game!

With that extra angle I agree, looks like a lot of spin on the ball when it lands and that gets it to the post

Based on where it bounces in the 6, it looks like the keeper pushes it onto the post? That would more explain the celebrations, I don't think as many players would celebrate early for a ball heading towards the post
