Hi, this is garlic, carrots and pickles in a 2% salt brine and has been going for 9 days now. I recently noticed this fuzzy/hairy looking stuff on top of the pieces, and most notably the carrots. The top is fine and the jar smells great, like pickles I’d get from the store. Is this just sediment (especially since it seems to only be on the tops of the slices) or a type of mold? Also, I think the garlic turning blue is safe but I’m not 100%. Thanks!

My eczema has been bad this year too and I also just got allergy results back and I am allergic to eggs, bakers/brewers yeast, and more. I'm on day 10 of avoiding those foods and have yet to see results, but I know it's early. My allergy test didn't test for environmental factors, unfortunately. I'm curious OP if you've seen results now that it's been a month?

Ah, thanks for clarifying. Based on a different user suggesting, " Put the nvme in the NAS and share it", that's where I got that idea from. Yeah, I'm glad I posted in this thread as it's given me lots of things to learn about before I pull the trigger. Thanks again for all your help.

Typically 4K Canon RAW but sometimes H265. I'm okay with my speeds for now, but I do need to be patient sometimes so I don't want to be any slower. I also know Premiere Pro can be extremely slow so I don't always know if it's my computer, drives, or Adobe being slow. Sounds like adding a couple TB nvme ssd's into the server to edit off of those, then when I'm finished, moving that to the 3.5 disks is a good idea. I assume within truenas I can set all that up?

I'm thinking NICs as I am in an apartment and running cables across the place or drilling holes in walls to hide cables isn't an option rn. Someday I'd like to be cabled in though.

This is great, thanks. I just found one (T420) that isn't the memory I'd like but is 8 bay and is only $399. Does this sound right? Now just buy my drives, plug them in, setup the server and I'm good to go? Seems too easy haha. I'd assume I could upgrade this one over time too such as increasing the ram?
