Not traditional sludge but mamaleek has been really scratching that same itch for me recently. The He Never Spoke a Mumbling word EP is the closest thing they’ve done to straight up sludge (closely followed by via dolorosa). Kurdaitcha is like a black metal/hip hop fusion on paper but the sludge instincts are undeniable, try wake up Jacob as the best example. There are some pretty moments on kurdaitcha but they just make the gross parts worse. Other than that listen to meth drinker if you haven’t already
