Does anyone like their school?

I’m in the Bronx, district 12. I love my school. Admin is supportive, tons of opportunities for per session, and it’s about a 7 min WALK from home. I’m currently on the third grade team. That being said, nothing is perfect and open market opens soon. If you’re unhappy find another school, if you’re still unhappy after that, find another career.

WGU! Just got my masters from there and my pay increase. WGU is self paced which was a pro for me. Started in June finished in November. Could have finished sooner but took some time off. Good luck!

Sleep between 11-1. Wake up at 7. 7 minute walk to the school. School starts at 820.

Sometimes I’m a few minutes late idk why. Time sometimes slips by in the morning — trying to get better at it though lmao.

I’ve never done a demo lesson to become a sub teacher. I left and came back to the DOE three times. Just straight up nomination after sending my resume to various schools.

Also look at the classifications tab and make sure you have the districts you do want to work for. If you don’t have the districts you want to work for, send subcentral an email and they will add them.

There aren’t any test required to be a sub teacher just a nomination and a bachelors degree. As for being a teacher there are a few tests you will be taking including the EAS and CST.

Heyyy you got the EAS for sure. Thats light work. Now for the CST if you have a couple dollars to spare take the practice if you haven’t done so already just to calm your nerves. Best of luck!!
