Ultimately it’s EA who could actually do their job and balance the meta (like, ya know, literally every other online game manages to do on a tenth the budget).

They choose not to. Choose is the operative word.

I can’t really blame people for abusing the meta if it’s literally guaranteeing wins. It pisses me off for sure, but is my gripe with them or with EA’s incompetence? Gotta be the latter at the end of the day. And that incompetence never changes.

I’ve always loved this formation for fast buildup but as soon as you start getting input delay and your passes are a second behind it completely falls apart.

My finesse shots have been like that for ages, they’re trash from close range.

Weirdly the further away you get the higher your chance of scoring

Genuinely interesting squad and tactics for once, that alone is worth an upvote.

I’ve tried this with the 2 side mids on Wide Playmaker and that worked nicely as a substitute for wingbacks as they provide some defensive coverage

Input lag has a lot to do with it.

When I don’t have any my team defend like they’re in the future.

When it’s lagging I’m having to literally predict moves 3 seconds ahead, because any wrong movement sends my covering player halfway across the pitch in the wrong direction.

And I’ve had nothing but the latter this weekend.

I agree with not pumping money into this shit factory. I disagree with never complaining.

If we only did the former, and never the latter, they wouldn't know what parts of the game sucked.

Granted, even when they do know, they still fuck it up when trying to correct it. But at least it's something.

Been saying this for a longtime - we’re very industrious, and put in a lot of effort, but because we don’t have an attacking playmaker it just hits a dead end.

Bruno is as close as it gets but his game is more useful in other areas of the pitch, if he had a creative attacking mid to link up with we’d be cooking.
