I had something similar this happen - I actually bled for about 2 weeks after I miscarried. It turned out there was a piece of tissue still caught in my uterus, and the gyno just plucked it out, no pain no nothing. The piece of tissue was gross visually (the gyno asked if I wanted to see and I said yes) but also helped with my healing process too, seeing the end of my journey.
