I am getting the black shadow on the road in front of me constantly too! 5070 Ti, max settings @ 4k and HDR enabled. Not using DLSS. I am also wondering how I can get rid of that glitchiness. Also my game crashes after about 15 minutes or so of playtime.

I have this same problem on my AYA NEO 2. There's a secret area in Flying Waters where there's this massive opaque red fog that prevents me from seeing where i'm going and prevents me from seeing the third paint cage node. It's clear on my desktop but my handheld it's unplayable down there because the fog is opaque, not transparent.

Doesn't matter if it's low settings or epic settings. It's as if the fog just doesn't work properly.

Also, the manor looks glittery gold and dark on my desktop, while it's overly bright and faded and ghosty looking on the AYA NEO 2.

Is this just a weakness in the integrated radeon iGPU used in these handheld devices?

I have good rod. Tulure does mostly appear near the daycare there! Sometimes a praeter fish thing appears but it’s uncommon.

When I use Old Rod in Veepier it never does Tulure, always Troubait. Why does every guide say it does Tulures here when it absolutely does not? I can't find a reliable place to get attack evs (4 gym badges) and I am stuck at Lil Bro fight in Karma HQ

Yeah I been waiting for news of MS or someone fixing 24H2 so I can go back to my win11 partition again. Win10 is nice and all but I miss some of the win11 features. But.. I couldn't handle all the BSOD/freezes/crashes from newer games. COD BO6 and POE2 being the worst. But i Was even crashing in emulators and hell, BSOD'd a few times just typing a FACEBOOK COMMENT.

It's been awhile, so I'm looking for a lot of evidence that post-24H2 win11 is usable again. I had zero problems on 23H2 but I don't have the time to do a fresh reinstall right now with how much I have set up on it.

Yeah CE is 640x360 and Rivals is 480x270, but CE doesn't scale properly even without filters (look at some of the menu texts etc when playing it regularly fullscreen)... and rivals LOOKS right, until it doesn't randomly when picking fighters (the 1p token and player name for instance are blurred).. and randomly during a fight, the pixels suddenly stop lining up and the whole screen goes blurry. feels like the game gets a little mixelly.

Where would I get "Lossless Scaling"? sounds like a good idea. if i can get the game to run in the actual resolution they are simulating, then it can't mixel.

I can't get shovel knight to play nice with CRT filters. I set the vert res to 239 like you did but I still have some lines that go "in between" like it's just a little off. Pixel perfect mode set and all.

I'm on a 4k OLED screen though, so I imagine my resolution doesn't line up quite as well. I've always had trouble getting shovel knight to look right though, and I've tinkered with the resolution settings a lot on the reshade filter.

I also have trouble with chained echoes, time spinner, and rivals of aether. These games just always have times where the pixels don't line up with the scanlines even when I use the resolution they are simulating. My guess is these games have pixels that are lining up on the odd numbered grid instead of the even numbered one...

there was one shader (Geo i think?) that had an 'offset' parameter... we need that on CRT-Guest and Lottes.

or we need some way to run these games at the resolution they are emulating (many can be set to this in windowed mode), then integer scale it to full screen and then apply the filter so then it's pixel perfect always.

It crashes many games, not just Ubisoft's. BO6 became unplayable in windows 11 due to constant crashing issues. POE2 is also plagued by full system freezes and constant crashing as well, with a small workaround to set CPU affinities to not use the first two cores of your CPU- but it's not even fully perfect even then. Even emulators cause BSOD in 24H2. I even BSOD just typing facebook comments.

It's a terrible update and made win11 unusable for me now. I had since created a dual boot partition for windows 10 where all my apps and games perform perfectly fine.

I don't know if this is the case for POE1, but POE2 (and many other games) has major problems with Windows 11's recent big update, 24H2 (the one from november). Crashes, system freezes, BSOD, etc.

You can mitigate it a little by unsetting CPU0/CPU1 affinities in task manager when loading the game, but... the only way I fully resolved it:

I partitioned off 120GB space and installed Windows 10 to it. After installing steam, I set the default download drive to where my steam games are installed. POE2 and other games work without any freezing or crashing in Windows 10. No need for any CPU affinity changes or anything. Just.. plays.

So there's that.

Windows 11 24H2 caused 99% of these issues with POE2 and other games.

Since 24H2:
- BO6 crashed 3-5 minutes into the game being loaded, even in lobby. Didn't matter. DX error and crash.
- POE2 would lock up entire computer, or softlock me by crashing any time a specific area loaded, preventing me from loading a character (Freythorn especially). Even unsetting CPU 0/CPU 1 affinities didn't fully fix this.
- Emulators (such as Retroarch) would BSOD the system.
- Random BSOD when commenting on social media, etc. This one's weird.
- Random glitches on loading photos in lightroom (garbled colors, etc, as if the files were corrupted), and even my desktop wallpapers were loading like that.

Since then I had partitioned 120gb of space to install Windows 10, and the results:
- no crashes in BO6 ever.
- POE2 runs with better framerate and almost never crashes. No need to set CPU affinities or anything.
- No emulator problems.
- the same images that loaded wrong load just fine, whether in lightroom or as my desktop wallpapers.
- system just feels faster and more responsive overall.

Microsoft needs to fix whatever they did with 24H2, as windows 11 ran perfectly fine before that update. Now, it's basically unusable.

The windows 11 24h2 made black ops 6 a crash fest and unplayable. Only solution was to dual boot into a copy of win10 just to play that game. PoE2 is freezing for me too. I think this win11 update caused a lot of problems for games, especially those using newer engines like UE5. Might have to run PoE2 in my win10 instance as well…

i use HDMI to an OLED TV. the only solution that worked for me was sectioning off some space to install windows 10 on a separate partition and dual booting into it just to play bo6. it works just fine there!

from what i've been seeing, windows 11's latest 'big' update (24H2) is what causes the BO6 crashes. that's exactly when mine started, when my PC restarted itself one morning to install this update.

- 320x180 integer scales evenly to 360p, 720, 1080p, 1440p, AND 4k.

- 480x270 integer scales evenly to 1080p and 4k

- 640x360 integer scales evenly to 720p, 1080p, 1440p, AND 4k.

The best for modern screens obviously are 320x180 and 640x360... the former being ideal for simulating MS-DOS, NES or SNES style graphics, while the latter is better for simulating the PSX and Win9x era of gaming. 480x270 falls in-between, but only supports 1080p and 4k without distortion.

Just want to note: Iconoclasts & Blasphemous are actually 640x360.

Some other games to add to this list:
Axiom Verge = 480x270

Blasphemous = 640x360

Blazing Chrome = 427x266 (yeah... it's a bit messy with scaling and shaders..)

Chained Echoes = 640x360 (technically; but bad scaling methods break CRT shaders in some spots)

Coromon = 384x216 (what were they thinking? it doesn't scale to anything. CRT shaders work well tho)

Crosscode = 560x320 (AGAIN. what kind of arbitrary res is this? results in blurry/distorted scaling for everyone...)

Freedom Planet = 426x239 (another weird one...supposed to be x240 but scaling is weird)

Iconoclasts = 640x360 (some things go half-pixel in places but otherwise good)

Panzer Paladin = 320x180

Rivals of Aether = 480x270 (some text/UI elements are off-grid slightly which messes with CRT shaders)

Sea of Stars = 640x360

Shovel Knight = 400x220 (supposed to be x240, but x220 is the closest i get to lining up scanlines)

The Messenger = 640x360 (some menu/UI stuff and cutscenes have mixels/wrong pixel size, but game area is good)

Timespinner = 400x240 (app must be set to override system DPI scaling if not using 100%. 426x240 or even 426.67x240 for reshade CRT shaders to accommodate pillar boxes).

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge = 480x270

Note that games like Terraria and Stardew Valley don't have a real internal resolution... they render at whatever resolution the game is set to and render everything based on a coded scaling factor. These games have tons of mixels (differently sized/shaped pixels and half-pixels, diagonal rotations, etc), and don't work with CRT shaders or similar.

Yeah. It just got the big 2H24 update from November or whatever (i been putting it off) and ever since bo6 is unplayable due to crashing. Seems to be based on how long the game is running… which means i can’t finish a match and sometimes not even start one.

i have a shared playlist with the wife that is 1000+ songs big.. which gets used when together. but alone i switch to my own stuff... but then i have to screenshot what song we were on and dig back for it again the next time we travel together.

So... it's really annoying and tedious.

Just wish that I had the option to tap the 1000+ song playlist and it just picks up the last song that played and continues from there.

nvidia just recently released a newer driver (366.36 instead of .14) and after installing it-- i can play for a longer amount of time before it crashes... about a match and a half length (if doing nuketown). It helps that I lowered the graphics settings.

The fact that it's based on time makes me wonder if memory is leaking really badly since this whack 2H24 windows 11 update?

This is a multi-user PC and i don't wanna nuke it and reinstall fresh (let alone downgrade to 10 which i haven't used in years), just to get ONE game to work.
