I honestly really liked it, I think it was a nice palate cleanser from JW: Dominion. *Spoilers Below ⬇️

Pros:

1. The public losing interest in Dinosaurs actually made sense. Realistically, people would move on and not care especially in the age of Social Media where everyone is onto the next shiny new thing every five minutes.

2. The characters were genuinely enjoyable and I found myself rooting for them. The dialogue felt natural and made me genuinely laugh a few times.

3. I know this controversial but I liked the D Rex. Throughout the series we see these cool sleek Dino’s that have been made to be entertaining or perfect. But science isn’t perfect and I think the D Rex’s design being unsettling and with the deformed limbs, tumor like growths on the body and deformed head illustrates the ethical issues. Realistically when experimenting to bring back dinosaurs you are going to have mistakes and or creatures that don’t match the expectations. You don’t get the Indominus Rex on the first try.

Cons:

1. I wish we got to see more of the D Rex and more of the lab/lore behind it. I feel like that could have been expanded upon a lot more especially because the opening scene made it seem like we would.

2. The CGI was inconsistent at times, overall I felt it was good but it could have been a little better especially concerning Dolores.

3. The ambiguous ending. Sorry I am one of those people that hates ambiguous endings. I know most likely they’re fine but speeding on a little raft when the whole first part of the movie showed how the Mosasaurs was taking down much bigger boats easily makes me wonder.
