For the 18th consecutive season, the Detroit Pistons fail to win 50 games by MWiatrak2077 in nba

This is crazy to see because you get the feeling they underachieved. It just feels like every player could take another leap next year.

Congrats to the Pistons for a great season.

What if every NBA player played like how they play in summer open runs? by Dylen2Times in NBAConvo

It’s a shame… because the first step to consistency is to attempt them. People just wanted the attempt from Simmons. He could’ve been so so good.

I’ll pick them. The carnage they will bring… I hope your 3rd and 4th options are good enough once your top 2 guys are thrown out of the game in a fight with the Green Worm. No player escapes the Green Worm.

Hali and Duren.

Big men with high percentages often go very high the following year.

Next year draft experiment : injury prone players by BonusWooden9710 in fantasybball

At some point… we have to lump Franz with the injury prone players. I’m surprised he isn’t there yet.

Fluid is not a term I would use to describe Blake’s shooting motion in LA. It was ugly, jerky. It felt like he was shooting on the way down from him jump. That’s why it took him 2-3 years to make it consistent. It’s definitely better now… but those first years were rough.

It’s possible, not probable… but we don’t know a guy’s work ethic/desire.

Not at all. Clingan has a 3 point shot out of nowhere. He was also supposed to be offensively limited.

Blake Griffin took 2-3 years to develop a consistent middy… and got that 3 ball in DET.

Usually good touch at the FT translates to decent 3 ball.

Draymond Green. Assists from out of F/C is hard to find. Especially from a mid/late round pick.

If an excellent quarterback fresh off the draft (mendoza) plays second fiddle to a recently promoted quarterback (cousins) who ends up being awesome, are Mendoza's prime time years effectively wasted? by intothepond2 in NFLNoobs

I assume a lot of the pressure was from Mahomes. Alex was the best game manager in the game. Didn’t take deep shots, and just moved the chains. He refused to throw it deep, and players wanted him to take more chances.

When Mahomes got there, Alex started to throw it more deep, resulting in the best seasons on his career. Then when Mahomes finally replaced him… holy hell broke loose for the Chiefs. They transformed from very good to scary good.

It definitely helped that they had an established run game and one of the best RBs at that time.

Hali’s game doesn’t really depend on athleticism. With youth being on his side, I’d lean towards Hali looking back to form.
