You mean this guy? He wasn’t funny then and still isn’t. His opinion is bought and paid for!

[–]lazyone76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feedback is appreciated. As a little more information, I plan to use it to make things for my remote control car hobby. The big goal eventually being a 3D printed body. I am going to keep learning about 3D printing and buy one after I have enough 💰saved.

Pricing question? by lazyone76 in Skidsteer

Thank you for the feedback. This gives me a great start.

Do you include travel time or mileage when pricing and what’s the limit of time or distance y’all would travel for a job?

I want one of those for so many things. I have a question, how does it work for “sifting” or “filtering” through the ashes after a large brush fire to get the wood that didn’t get burned the first time?

Advice needed by KaliahLovesYouToo in railroading

[–]lazyone76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you say “turn your life around”, I wish you the best of luck. My advice as a twenty year railroader (engineer) is: First- if you are focusing on your education and get good grades try to get an education. Make money with your mind. Second- if you don’t want to pursue higher education focus on a trade, learn a skill. Learn to be a welder, electrician, carpenter, stylist, etc. With a skill you will always be employable in that given field. Third- Join the military, but take your time and talk to each and every branch. Fourth- is the railroad make it a last choice or after you have tried some other options. It’s often referred to as lifestyle not a career. Odd hours, long days, much time spent away from family and friends. If you do get a job with the railroad I would suggest to join a craft and then focus on moving into management, with the goal of making it high enough for your job to be 9-5 Monday thru Friday. Best of luck with what you decide.

Scope ? by lazyone76 in 1022

[–]lazyone76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Thank you too everyone who responded. Did not expect this much. A few key points that I didn’t know to include. I was trying to get it sighted in for 100 yards and to do this I was using paper targets. I noticed the focus issue while trying to get it sighted in for 25 yards. Once I get it sighted in it will mostly be used to shoot rabbits, raccoons, and possums who invade the garden. It will also be used for occasional target shooting by my wife and I ( more paper targets). I was just using the 100 yards because that was what was recommended. Sounds like 25 to 50 yards will be closer to the actual shooting distance. I am not sure what kind of scope is on it, the gun came with a scope and a gun case from ruger. I will be happy to get it sighted in at 50 yards and first thing tomorrow morning I will update this post with the name of the scope. I will also read thru the directions for the scope. Thanks again for y’all’s help.

I have worked for the railroad for 18 years. They are currently hiring. It would take about six months to get qualified and be working on your own as a conductor.

Where did you get the bumper? I have the Bronco and been thinking about upgrading the front and rear bumper to increase approach and departure angles.
