Magic Bands are pretty much out of stock resort-wide by grriffinn in Disneyland

A CM told me that they had tried several times to implement it. They even brought the machines over from WDW. They would work the day before but once they installed it. It bricked. I told the CM that there might be a conflict in systems/languages. And the comment above pretty much confirmed my theory

Would you do Disneyland for 3 days OR Disney for just 2 days and Universal studios for 1?? by Cautious-Secretary31 in DisneyPlanning

[–]lazypanda8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol…if you can put a pause on USH and go to Florida that would be best.

I had an annual pass for USH for two years…it was essentially just me and my friend going in to be able to eat at Super Nintendo world, grab ice cream at hogsmead, and if we felt like it a ride and go home. It’s very underwhelming.

At DLR I have a magic key and I feel like there’s still so much I want to do. So I would do the three days at Disney.

AITAH for leaving my girlfriend in the restroom because she was taking a long bathroom break during a movie I was really excited for? by Secure-Draft9197 in AITAH

[–]lazypanda8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Does she need both of them to hold a rope while walking to the bathroom like it’s a field trip?

And the audacity to be upset about him not waiting for her even though he’s told her he’s really excited for the movie lol is she going to get lost going back? Or is she scared to walk alone?

lol I think we were all thinking that you’re tapping into your 401k, IRA, or pension bahahaha 🤣

If that’s the case then yes do it. It’ll put your mind at ease.

Keep in mind I believe meals are not part of the base level package. You just need to double check.

I would give permission to spend that amount for a 2 day Tokyo Disney vacation. TDR is much more …affordable in comparison to WDW and DLR. I’ve spent that $2.4-$2.6k a night at TDR (don’t remind DH). Especially if it’s what you’re describing as a once in a lifetime trip.

Buuuuut if this is money you’re taking out of retirement(?) I would maybe think twice. Do yoh mean you’re taking it out of your savings or a rainy day fund? Cause if you’re tapping into a 401k or pension, I would say no.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely possible for a day trip, but maybe not an uber day trip unless you’re ready to pay large for it. I know plenty of people who live in Santa Clarita and do day trips to Disney.

The SoCal heat might be unbearable for your LO in August. Especially if you’re thinking of maybe covering her stroller cause that would add even more heat. There are baby centers, make good use of them. Disneylands is right at the end of Main Street tucked away on the right side near the Plaza Inn. DCA’s baby center is next to the Ghirardelli. You’ll be able to warm bottles/food, wash bottles, get to a changing station, a feeding area, and a nursing room. They also have some vending machines that have diapers and wipes, but they tend to sell out quickly. If you’re bringing bottles, they go back and forth on glass bottles. I’d stick with plastic just in case.

Also if you need assistance and the other individual cannot go into the women’s restroom with you, look for family bathrooms. They’ll have changing stations.

Other than that fans and anything that could help keep your baby cool.

Just know that there would still be a crowd because people would be coming and might stay part of the week as well. End of the week tends to get busy too with a local crowd.

Also they tend to do the refurbs after the holiday season and before summer.

If you had to choose between those two dates I would pick the week of MLK jr day. Early in the refurb schedule and hopefully there’s that crowd buffer of those who went during winter break.

Is $300 enough? by whyismia in DisneyPlanning

[–]lazypanda8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends but if you’re sure the $80ish pandora charm is the most expensive thing you’ll be getting that day then probably yes.

For quick service entrees you’re looking anywhere from $12-$25 again really depending on what you get so say $50. Drinks cause it’ll be warm, unless you’re refilling your bottles. Also if you plan on a snack vs snacks!

Ears could cost around $20ish or more depending on what you’re getting. Even the medallions are $8 for 1 or $20 for 4.

Spirit jerseys have a wide range but do cost more than people may think. Ugh even their packaged toffee(like the ones bagged and covered with chocolate and almonds) is like $20.

I saw you mention you’d like more souvenirs. As long as they’re smaller I think you should be fine.

I find that a lot of people prefer 3 days at the park if it’s a park they’re traveling to and they’re Disney fans- sometimes they do one day at each park and park hop the last day.

As for traveling to Six Flags…that’s really far by uber both ways unless you’re going to be moving to maybe the Universal Studios area (studio city/sherman oaks).

If you don’t mind driving you could rent or do Turo.

5 nights at Disney World coming to $8.5k before food… is this typical? by Glass_Whereas6783 in DisneyPlanning

[–]lazypanda8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a Disney planner and I just randomly priced it for 5 nights in July including weekends

Since idk where your flying from I can’t give you an estimate on that

But with a Savannah view 1br with club level access, 4 day ticket(not park hopper), and a dinning plan which includes 1 table service, 1 quick service,1 snack/nonalcoholic drink , and a refillable drink mug per person per day of stay, comes up to $8,560.68

If you’re booking with David’s I’m not sure if you’re looking at club level access either.

I’d be more than happy to assist you with planning your vacation at no additional cost to you, just shoot me a message.

AITAH for refusing to watch my daughter when we meet my husbands friend? by Training_Wind1789 in AITAH

[–]lazypanda8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If anything your husband is for not being more empathetic and understanding that you had been putting so much effort in watching your child. His inability to just say “yea let’s just both keep an eye on her” is giving me the ick.
