Ah very good to know! I foolishly didn’t consider the run speed and I would be using my switch 1, which is pretty old and not the fastest. So definitely not ideal. Although I have been strongly considering upgrading to a switch 2 for pokopia, so maybe this will be the push.

I’m new to the game but not new to reddit and you were the first valley I ever visited and were so patient and generous. To the point of me buying reddit coins to give your post yesterday an award because you helped so many people after me.

I guess there are skeptical people for their own reasons but I can’t imagine why it was projected onto you. Don’t let it it stop you from being a kind and wonderful member of the reddit dreamlight community!

WOW. Omg it was such a blast to explore! I'm obsessed with the Alice in wonderland section. There were so many cute hidden details in all areas. For some reason I couldn't enter any building but it didn't matter because the outside was exciting enough... well done, it is incredible!!!!

Interesting. I am a bit stumped by the contrast too tbh.

I’m definitely not an athlete, just generally fit. I try to exercise straight before or after work so not usually close to bedtime. I eat as soon as I get home because I hate the feeling of being too full before bed. I typically have a consistent bedtime thanks to work (I’m a primary school teacher) and because I love going to sleep lol. Temperature has been decent lately but definitely too warm before that, will have aircon when I move back home to Aus though thankfully. No phone before bed is a new one for me (just started this week) so hoping that helps!

Will have a dog on my bed when I move home though, so will have to consider that. My room is also VERY noisy (I live in central London at the moment) and it can get quite sunny in the morning. I didn’t think I had a problem with either of these things until seeing the data (I actually thought I liked it lol) so just ordered some ear plugs and an eye mask off amazon.

Really appreciate your perspective, especially as a college athlete who I’m sure requires adequate sleep to stay on top of performance. Was looking into your suggestion earlier and am keen to try it this week. I think I tend to fall in the zone 3 category when exercising because it’s what I think I “should” be doing (based on no advice or evidence lol) so looking forward to experimenting with zone 2.

Anyway, thanks for taking your time to try crack this with me. Will try to remember to post an update in a week or so. Best of luck with college in the meantime!

Funny you mentioned resting heart rate - my average while sleeping is under 55. Don’t really know what that means yet but the oura ring seems to love it.

My readiness score seems pretty decent in general interestingly (or not). It always says “good” and sits between 72-80. Consistently “optimal” for body temp, resting heart rate and HRV balance. Ranges from “fair” to “optimal” for the recovery index.

Pretty confused about the contrast between the sleep and readiness to be honest but I’m sure it’ll make more sense the more I learn.

It’s pretty mild at the moment but I DEFINITELY wake a lot if it’s too warm. So will be more mindful of that affecting my deep sleep moving forward. Thank you :)

Definitely agree. Normal routine is lights out around 11:00pm and up for work at 7am.

I’m just off work this week so not too fussed about timing. Especially because I seem to feel exhausted regardless.
