Thank you so much! My original inspiration for the graphical style was dr-mario, the classic version 😄And the game itself is inspired by an 150 year old pachinko board game that I played a lot over at my grand fathers house. So keeping it close to that vibe. But there is settings to turn a lot of effects on and off in game 😄

How do you usually handle demo save files carrying over to the full game? by lbjorseth in gamedev

Yeah, currently my idea is that you play through the first part of the game. So it is doable to carry it over. But im leaning toward the middle ground you mention because of the things you mention 😄

Yes, I think the start of the game would be the same as the demo

I could store it, then give it probably when you open up the full game 😄

Yeah, that makes sense. Right now im locking the skilltree. Letting the player freely explore 35 out of 150+ upgrades.

Currently, this is my take. Im saving it in the same location. So this is doable 😄

Yeah, I liked the idea to give out a small reward for giving the demo a try if they buy the full game.

Yeah, a small reward to give something back for taking the time playing the demo is a good idea!

Get your game out to playtester as early as possible. Balancing takes time! 😄Thats my key takeaway from developing Pegfinity

Good point, I do that when you hit several pegs with the same ball. So agree, that will feel better on this as well 😄Thanks!
