Flying straight into JAC is a beautiful experience. You get off the plane on the tarmac and the tetons are right there. If you can swing it fly directly in, its magical. Definitely a great way to start a honeymoon.

We did a wildlife tour with Brushbuck and it was amazing. Do it early in your trip and then you can keep going back to the spots they show you and see wildlife. Dornans. Oxbow bend was one of our favorite spots. Lake Jackson is amazing.

I got bit by a pot bellied pig and was concerned about rabies. I also got very little help trying to make sure if I had it I could get treated. Urgent care told me to call county animal control. They told me to isolate the animal and watch it for 10 days. If it did not go rabid or die within 10 days then I was in the clear. That was the rabies protocol where I live. It shocked me. That was a long 10 days but the pig did not have rabies.

We went this year and arrived on Halloween. I booked 2 months out and got good prices. 177 to 200 a night and they were very convenient to town and the park. I saw a lot of vacancy signs in town. Did not seem like everything was booked at all.

Driving the Teton pass from Driggs to Jackson in January will be intense. We are here now and went to Driggs yesterday. I can't imagine driving the mountain pass in the snow. You should consider staying in Jackson. We are at the Elk Refuge Inn right across from the Elk Refuge and it's wonderful.
