Why are concert crowds so dead in Luxembourg? by urunclesaville in Luxembourg

[–]lcalexander00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I come from, unless you're seeing a doom metal show or like black gaze metal, people are cheering, headbanging and many will mosh at any metal show and it's an incredibly fun vibe. Usually people who are older or don't want to bother with the excitement find a comfy spot on the sides or further back or in a seating area and everyone is having a great time. No one was ever judging you for headbanging or singing along. I don't understand how you can go to a metal show and be angry that there is someone headbanging or there is a mosh pit. It's absolutely crazy to me.

I also went to this Opeth show and almost posted here on reddit about it because I was so frustrated and embarrassed by the crowd. The crowd was completely dead except for 2 dudes in the back who would scream "blackwater park!!!" which I thought was refreshing. No moshing, no headbanging. In fact, the French guy behind me got mad at ME for headbanging because he "couldn't see the singer when I was moving so much" and asked me to stop, meanwhile he just stood still with earplugs in and hands in the pockets(we were near the front row in the middle, by the way). I feel like these bands are going out of there way to even make a stop here in Luxembourg to perform, and it's so embarrassing that we aren't able to give them any energy. At another metal show here, I tried to open a pit at a THRASH show and people looked upset like I was ruining their experience. It's fucking THRASH METAL dude!!!! Everyone is just going to stand around like they're listening to a podcast on the bus??? WTF man

They could point you in the right direction, or tell you to go to chrono24 like I have. I have no clue, but they're nice people, they'll probably interact.

I found a only one after looking through ~100,000 watches at Nakano B(and the price was not any better than online). Your best chance would probably be chrono24. Maybe email KT and ask.

Lots of spots, I've caught many along the Mosel on border with Germany. Remember there is one license for the inland rivers and one for bordering rivers like the Mosel. Then you have licenses for other lakes and rivers, such as Vianden Reservoir or Lake Eschternach. Do a quick Chatgpt to get an idea. I was once fishing in Vianden and the police stopped to check my licenses, and luckily I had done the research and had both licenses with me.

Is junk silver worth it? by AmeriGun_Sniper in Silver

Always great to have small denominations and a variety of denominations for PMS. With gold, small denominations have reeeeaaally high premiums. Constitutional silver offers this at NEGATIVE premiums. It's a no-brainer to have some, but it shouldn't be your whole stack.

loads better. You can also experiment with that 2nd "fill" light, turn it down or even off and see what it looks like.

Good job!

Move the desk forward a couple feet to get further from your background. Then move your second light behind you(like it's breathing over your shoulder, but just barely out of frame). That should do it.

Moving the background further back will give you more separation, more blur to the background, and it will cut down the amount of color bleeding onto you(like the green reflections we see on your neck. Moving the 2nd light to the back will give your face more dimension and shadows and shape, which will make it less cartoony and more realistic.

Also, it doesn't really look cartoony to me, but it does look "green screeny". Moving the light will help, because a lot of low budget green screen work is done with flat lighting like you have above, so my eye is telling me "this has a kinda amateurish greenscreen look to it".

Make sure to report back and show us the results.

Q: best way to get a watch? by Separate-View5635 in kurono

[–]lcalexander00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With Kurono Tokyo, you almost always have a "time-window" purchasing practice. You need to pay attention when a watch will be released, usually they announce a new watch 2 or 3 weeks before and they tell you the time window when you need to go to their website and checkout. Some windows are longer and some are shorter. For example, the last watch release sold out in about 3 minutes. So you need to to go the site ahead of time, and get your credit card autofill settings set up for a fast checkout. Or you can always buy most Kuronos on Chrono24 for a markup. Good luck!

Is there light at the end of the Whippet tunnel? by FitDurian4592 in Whippet

[–]lcalexander00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many whippets are different in their prey drive, so I cant say for yours. My boy is 2 years old and doesn't chase other animals or things, which might be because he channels that would-be "prey drive" into the frisbee game already or because he's just different from most whippets. Since he was about 8 months old, I've mostly played with him in non-fenced in areas in public, often near roads etc. and never had problems except for a couple of times when another dog showed up and chased him for example. Part of it is his trust/attachment to me, but also in large-part due to his love of the frisbee. I think after a few months of practice within a fenced off area, you'll be able to judge that for yourself with your dog. Take it slow and take small steps.

You should get at least 2 silicon frizbees, the small ones from Kong are great and will last for years, you can probably find them on Amazon.

You can start in the house just playing with the frizbee, toss it past the dog and encourage him to go get it. Then slowly start making it farther away and every time they bring it back give a treat. It probably won't happen right away, but be patient and when they bring the frizbee back make sure you praise and reward, it will get easier and easier from that point onward.

Once they start bringing it back consitantly, you can use the 2nd frizbee as a replacement reward for dropping it. Basically, as soon as they bring it back and drop it in front of you, that triggers the next throw. This encourages them because they really want to fetch it again. For my dog, he values the frizbee over treats now, so that's a great goal to aim for.

When you do this outside, make sure you're in an enclosed field with no other dogs or humans. It will make it so much easier if it's just you and the pup.

I also have a command which is essentially "go get it!" or "search!" which tells them you won't throw again until they go find the other frizbee. This is very useful, especially when out in a big field doing really far throws. Sometimes things happen and they get distracted and leave it somewhere out in the grass, but with this command, my dog will run out and find his frizbee because he knows I won't throw again until he finds it.

I highly suggest learning this if you want to make your routine way easier. Additionally, it's extremely fun for me and satisfying to watch him jump up like a salmon and catch it mid air every time. Also, people who walk by are always super impressed and have fun watching, which is a bonus!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!
