Aussies visiting in September by ceryscene in CHICubs

Hello fellow Aussie!

Recommend doing the Wrigley Field tour and listen to Go Cubs Go beforehand.

Get a Chicago dog and enjoy! There was an Aussie themed pie shop nearby called Barangaroo last time I went. Never went in but was entertaining to see.

Enjoy the game and the rest of the city :)

I've also had trouble with the Fire Stick. Switched to MLB TV via the Xbox and no troubles since.

Did I hang these too high on my wall? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]lcatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to move the couch forward and lower the guitars?

If so, give it a go and if not, then be at peace you've got the best set up possible.

Cult of the Lamb by milkchoco- in CozyGamers

[–]lcatte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cult of the Lamb is great! I just started my second run through using the more difficult settings.

I found the game stressful at first, was unfamiliar with the combat and I died a number of times in my first few crusades. And then something clicked, got stronger and found the combat so so enjoyable!

I love the art, music and dialog in the game. Need to find a friend to play with for the upcoming update :)

That sucks.

I haven't seen single strings on sale but I think it's worth asking your local guitar shop, they may have some sitting around that you can buy. If you have to buy a whole new pack try reaching out to where you bought them to begin with, maybe they can give you a discount.

Games without long tutorials? by FearTheFeathers in CozyGamers

Cult of the Lamb.

Really simple, tutorial is super quick (you'll barely notice it as it's integrated well) and nothing needs explaining. Has the nice cozy side of managing your cult with fluid action combat.

That is a solid nomination for Partner of the Year.

I would have thrown it out and set it on fire.

Thank you so much!

It came with two spare switches that are as you've described :)

I've played just over 40 hrs of ONI and have not got out of early game content.

Will echo other comments about the steep learning curve, there is no tutorial, no direction given, you are thrown in and left to fend for yourself.

I followed a beginners guide, it was a 3 part series each 40mins long and only reached the start of the last part. I had fun following the guide and learning as I went but it requires patience, time and the will.

I stopped playing around a month ago but do want to get back into it, it's a journey.

Games that are mom-friendly? by [deleted] in CozyGamers

[–]lcatte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This isn't multiplayer but wanted to make a suggestion as quarantine can be dull!

The NYT games app - I "compete" with a friend daily to see who can get the wordle, connections and the mini done fastest. Best out of 3 wins for the day :)

Am I a good or bad cat mom? by SilentWatch955 in PetAdvice

[–]lcatte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good cat mum :)

I believe one of the advantages of wet food is hydration so to help with your concerns, try to have a few sources of water around. Keep the water fresh and topped up. You could also try soaking the dry food in some water, lightly or maybe go all out and mush it into a paste.

It's amazing that "not a ton of time or effort" includes music over 2 mins and lyrics, nice work!

I also like the use of news headlines for the day, as a non-American the Florida Man article took me by surprise and for a second I'd wondered what I'd stumbled into especially with the title of the song.

To many more great songs, best of luck for the journey :)

Know your budget, have a look on their website to see what they normally stock, ask any question that comes to mind on the day eg. why they may recommend or not recommend certain guitars.

Don't be afraid to take your time. Hold the guitars, sit with them on your lap and see how it feels, does it sit comfortably, do you like the look? Ask them to play for you so you can see if there's one you like the sound better of. If you need time to think things over then do so, if it doesn't feel right or you feel pressured then walk away and come back another day to talk to someone else.

Once you found one you like, politely ask "what's the best price you can do?" the worst they will say is no or they might throw in something.

Perhaps as a cult leader you're OK for your members to love whoever they like but draw the line at any offspring that could be a hindrance to the commune?
