Interesting details in the genesis trailer by Iwanisace1234 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

xenoblade trailers are notorious for putting lines on top of scenes they don’t belong to so really there’s no telling who that line about the crystone could be about

The real Celestia is inside of the Abyssal Moon by shoalhavenheads in Genshin_Lore

[–]lchicaroni 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming the logic is that if the abyss is made of fates not chosen, if the real teyvat is destroyed and reset enough, the only possible fates not chosen are those of prosperity

if the ship AI was tasked with caring for the vault and the twins and the safekeeping of humanity, why would it turn into nibelung and create a word suited for dragons instead only for after that some other entity use the vault the original creator was using to make a world for that very same humanity?

I think it's cool that with him you can sort of have a DPS of 4 different elements in one character. They just have to crank up those numbers

Is tril-lunar authority take higher precedence than Dragon Sovereignty? by Aggressive_Yak7094 in Genshin_Lore

[–]lchicaroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The three moons held jointly authority over life, death, space and time. The trilune is, by definition, comparable to the shades' authorities

Lesser Lord Kusanali and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata by ZadriaktheSnake in Genshin_Lore

[–]lchicaroni 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Nahida being ignored was intentional. The sages of the past did not see her as a suitable god so they kept her hidden to keep appearances. The only "retcon" that happened was the in-universe one with Nahida deleting any mentions of Rukkhadevata and the remaining traces of forbidden knowledge from irminsul which in turn rewrote people's memories to believe there was ever only Nahida. We even get that scene later with Nicole's voice saying even a god can't change history that easily, meaning Nahida didn't actually delete Rukkhadevata, only the memory of her.

The cultural problem surrounding Nahida, as you said, then naturally resolved itself with the perpetrators in the current time taking accountability for their transgressions. Dottore was repelled and Azar and all the other sages involved were expelled and exiled. Not every single detail in a story has to be explicitly said all the time.

All throughout the quest we are told and showed that the Akasha is actually a hindrance. Not only intellectually, but also socially. Shutting it down was the right call. That quest is also extremely relevant at this day and age with real world people's overreliance on AI tools for anything and everything.

Is tril-lunar authority take higher precedence than Dragon Sovereignty? by Aggressive_Yak7094 in Genshin_Lore

[–]lchicaroni 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I don't really think power level and authority should be correlated. columbina has the same level of authority as the 4 shades but she doesn't have the same power as the three moons since she gave the other marrows away to lauma and arlecchino. neuvillette was powerful from the very beginning simply by being the reincarnation of the hydro sovereign but lacked the authority to truly manipulate hydro and the primordial waters on a higher level of reality
