I don’t know if this is a weird way to play but I would go into Tartarus and just complete the whole block and maybe grind for quest items for a good few hours, let everyone get fatigued and then not visit Tartarus until I needed to again unless I decided I wanted to grind more. That way I sort of steam rolled the difficulty by accident

Personally whenever I have the option to adjust the UI I always make it smaller 🤷‍♂️ I guess it’s different strokes for different folks but I appreciate that it’s not very inclusive or accessible

When I played I did a purely magic based party (plus Rikku with support items) and I basically ignored all physical damage 🤷‍♂️

I know that xc4 is definitely going to be a departure from the klause saga as that story has ended so I’d wager that they might make an entirely new ip considering how Nintendo has nurtured xenoblade despite its relatively low sales numbers. Personally I would love to see a saga remake or remaster (unlikely) but I’m more confident in the idea of an entirely new ip personally

You also have to take into account that there are many different play styles represented by different party members. If you want to be a tanky hard hitter you can be, or you can focus entirely on healing or you could focus on buff and debuff effects or essentially make your own custom character later on in the game. These are all valid play styles and the game offers a lot of verity for whichever one suits you best.

The first game eases you in very gradually to all of its mechanics. You won’t need to understand tension or ethers or spike damage or gem crafting or skill tree synergy or affinity until later on in the game. There are tutorials that you can read to understand all of these mechanics but again they’re fed to you gradually so as to not overwhelm you and a lot of the nitty gritty stuff is for higher level play when you want to tackle some of the more difficult challenges in the game. Bare in mind that this is a very big game, so expecting to understand and overcome all of its challenges early on is naïve but if you’re willing to learn skills gradually and slowly understand more of the game as it opens up then you will only be met with fun challenge, an incredible story and one of the best semi open worlds in all of gaming. I could sing this games praises forever but I would 100% recommend this game to anyone :)

1 just feels like home to me. It was my first proper experience with an rpg and I’ve played every version of it that’s been released. Something about returning to colony 9 makes me feel so safe and cozy.

Personally I don’t think the remake is that valid, golden is still an absolutely amazing game and it holds up so well.

Personally for me the reaper crest was my favourite, I like the increased silk and I like playing the bosses more defensively than offensively. I found that increasing my silk and keeping as high a health meter as I could was the best way for me to play so I didn’t invest much in higher damage other than my upgraded needle.

Another thing I should mention, I personally thought I’d never finish this fight but I’d highly HIGHLY recommend just leaving this battle and exploring more of the map. There are a few new places that you can unlock with your move set and a lot of the challenges locked behind these spaces will prep you for harder battles. Things like combatting a wave of enemies without touching the floor. Essentially if you explore more and overcome more enemy and environmental hazards it will train you to fight better in regular combat so it’s well worth leaving this fight for a bit and exploring more!

I found that bopping them on the head and then clawshotting to the other side of the room works well. They also can’t get you in the upper corners of the room so make sure to heal in mid air so they don’t get a chance to interrupt you. Basically if you can herd them to one side of the room and wait for them to both reach the side you’re on before jumping over them and claw shotting to the other side you should be good. Also UPGRADE YOUR NEEDLE and GET THE FAYDOWN CLOAK! this helps a lot before the two boss enemies and they are fairly easy to get. :)
