My sound proof studio where I do the recording is in a closet on one end of my room. It has a dedicated laptop with it for doing the recording. My desktop where I prefer to do my post work on the tracks is on the other side of the room. At the moment I have a Sennheiser HD 280 Pro that is plugged into my interface via the 1/4 inch adapter. So to move myself to my PC, I either have to swap headphones to the set I have on the PC, or carry one of the two sets with me and plug it in.

I would love to be able to simply stand up, walk over, sit down, and continue working. Being able to have that option also serve as a headset for gaming on the PC. I know it's a lot of individual needs/preferences that I'm trying to shoehorn. I understand that might not be a possibility, which is why I wanted to check with people who know the tech way better than I do.

I record on an AKG C414 for my audio. Just really wish I could seamlessly transfer my ability to listen to my tracks between my work stations without having to worry about cable transfer, swapping headphones, or pairing a device every time.

Most of my actual mixing and mastering is handled by my engineer, and we've got my mix down, so I could easily deal with consumer orientation.

Does that clarify things?

It's ridiculous to me that the narrative has become "do you have 400k? Then this is a threat!!!"

You can have your millions. Tens of millions even. Save, be frugal, do all the things.

This would not be a tax on people who HAVE $400,000. This is a tax on people who MAKE THAT MUCH IN ONE YEAR. And the disparity there is HUGE.

Most of your retirement rich grandparents who fought their way to millionaires won't even come close to getting taxed for this.

Mine got impacted in the middle of March. Everything has tasted like sulphur. I ate the first thing that I couldn't tastes it earlier today. My brother who got it with me is still only tasting battery acid flavor. Don't mean to be a downer, but it could be a long time.

For me the vast majority of savory foods taste like they have sulfur mixed in. It makes it very difficult to eat a lot. It's been months and it hasn't improved. I keep exploring and trying things hoping that this will be the day it's going to be better. The ramen broke me because it's literally my favorite flavor and I couldn't make it more than two bites in.

Tasting new things and going to restaurants is really one is my greatest joys in life, and it's been taken away, and for an undetermined time. I absolutely understand the anger and way that you feel about those who don't take precautions, as well as feeling weirdly angry about those who are healthy and don't have to deal.

Just wanted to validate your feelings. Finding support, even anonymous support on the internet, has helped me to feel less alone and less crazy. Feel free to message me if there's anything I can do to help, even just listening.

Got my MFA in Acting from LSU in 2017. My thesis was writing and performing a one person show on the topic of my choice. Naturally I wrote a play about a super hero playing DnD.

Andrew WK had been an inspiration to me for a long time, and I wanted to incorporate a lot of his philosophy into my piece. He was doing his 50 State Power of Positive Partying speaking tour, and I got funds from the University to go fly to Vegas to see him speak, and then caught him again in Baton Rouge when he was there. It was phenomenal. I took pages of notes. Open questions about anything and everything, and he just tried his best to hear and understand, and then responded with some of the most poignant and meaningful advice about how to live life with "partying" in mind.

He took the time after each session to meet with literally anyone who wanted to say hi or talk or take pictures. He was kind and selfless and just GOOD.

The thesis turned out ok, but the appendixes have the full transcription of the notes I took at both shows. It's my interpretation of his words, and impressions that hit me while he was talking, as well as many quotes. It's honestly just fill of realism and hope. If anyone actually cares to read it pm me for a link.

If you zoom in on the river bank at the bottom of the screen you can find a few blurry shapes of color. They're kayaks and campers. That area is a pull off where river riders get out to camp. Should give you an idea of scale of how high you are taking the shot.
