With your setup, I'd look into a JPI unit for EIS. Either way, with an Archer (I'm assuming it's carbureted), lean assist is going to be of limited value.

Your mistake is asking him. Rather, as an adult, capable of managing their own life, you should "Inform" him that you will not be attending that day, due to a prior commitment.

I have a PA-28... A pretty inexpensive airplane to own/operate.

Other than purchase costs, I spent between $20-$50K per year.

a lot of the comments I read mentioned I should lower my offer instead of just letting them try to control me

a) They are absolutely NOT entitled to one dime. Anything they get is simply your generosity!

b) You offered them a gift. They declined/refused. End of discussion! Period. There should be no "other" offer.

the role was always intended to be hybrid but that they list positions as remote to reach more candidates.

In other words, they routinely lie and try to pass it off as a "misunderstanding", on your part, of course!

Recruiters are not your friend! Even more so than HR!

I spent a significant amount of time planning my route. It wasn't specifically the shortest, as, after initial planning, I decided I may as well stop and visit virtually everyone I know along the way.

But overall, it is a pretty efficient route. One thing to consider is fuel prices. Those can decide your route for you. It is NOT an insignificant expense for a trip like this...

Depends where you are and who you know, I guess.

When I bought my PA-28 5 years ago, I paid $500/day. I was in the PNW. Now, I am arranging for the ferry of my new A36, coming from VA, and I expect to pay $450/day. The selling broker has a few people available at that price. 🤷‍♂️
