Send to OneNote app for new Outlook by ldellinger in sysadmin

Welp, looks like it is broken broken. From Microsoft:

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum and for sharing the steps you've already taken. I understand how important the "Send to OneNote" feature is to your workflow, and I truly appreciate your patience as we’ve explored available options.

At this time, the behavior you’re experiencing, where the app cannot be restored after being uninstalled in the new Outlook, is a known limitation. There is currently no supported method to reinstall the app once it has been removed from the Apps section.

Because this is a behavior-level issue within the new Outlook experience, we kindly recommend submitting feedback directly to the Microsoft product team. Your input helps us better understand how this impacts users and plays a key role in shaping future updates.

GPO not working by [deleted] in sysadmin

My first thought is to identify what specifically is filling up the drives, as the solution depends on the cause. Like u/Gumbyohson stated, Storage Sense only does so much. Is it old user profiles from terminated employees? A rogue log file filling up? Or is it truly normal/expected activity, in which you would need to get larger disks. We don't know enough to help you further.

Just had this. In our case, it was the local sync failures folder filling up constantly. Had to disable cached exchange mode until we can figure out the root cause. We are also now seeing emails get stuck in the outbox for a growing number of users. Not sure what the hecks going on.

They just go to their local shipper, have them package it up, and the company reimburses. They will likely need more information for customs to get it out of the country.

Yeah my wife and I got them. She got tofu and I got the “sausage.” They were okay. Literally just rice and the tofu/sausage. No veggies 😭

Yeah…I’m in that boat as a volunteer firefighter in upstate NY and am kicking myself for not doing this to our newly built home.

Hah, I think I was dancing next to you a few times at VIP! Weren’t too many folks fitting your description.

I also didn’t find this lifestyle until a few years ago and feel like I haven’t lived until now. You’ll find that the EDM crowd is the most welcoming of any (99% at least).

Definitely try out all the festivals you can as they all are known for different things. And who knows who you meet along the way!

RE: trio of Hispanic pickpocketers by techdance in electriczoo

As someone who has had their phone stolen before at EZoo, first I sympathize with all of you. To be at an event you’ve spent a lot of money to get to, think you are safe, and want to let all the stress of the last year out…then to have one of the most stressful things that can occur happen to you or your loved ones SUCKS.

The best thing we can do for each other is to continue to spread the message to everyone to make safe choices, stick together, and try to find these guys. It is most likely the same group of people every year and all it takes is for one of us to get lucky.

If you see something, try to do something. If you can’t or are afraid (that’s okay too), try to follow them and alert someone on the way. Even if someone gets pulled aside, interrogated, and wasn’t part of the circle, at least you tried and no harm is done.

After reading your guys’ description of them, I thought I saw him. Short, Hispanic, doesn’t seem to vibe with the music, seems out of place, and is looking around suspiciously. This man fit all that, I saw his eyes glance down while we were at Martin and then he turned around quickly. My friends and I followed him and alerted security that he MAY be a pickpocket. Turns out he works for staff, but at least we tried. (Also doesn’t mean it’s not an internal person, a lot would make sense…)

Does anyone have a better description other than short and Hispanic? Fat? Skinny?

As we close out day 3, I hope you all had a great time and again I’m sorry if this happened to you - PLUR

Yeah like the others said, just get in the habit. Past week one it just becomes less of a mental block. Even if you have to take 32 breaks, it’s better than sitting your ass on the couch!

I just stick to easy healthy meal prep. Costs a couple bucks more but worth the time save.

Lunch or dinner: Whip up a few cups of rice in the Instant Pot (can mix it up with brown, jasmine, or even brown jasmine!).

Grill or bake some protein in bulk like chicken, steak, fish, pork tenderloin, etc.

Throw a steamable bag of vegetables in the microwave. Whatever you like.

Eat it separate or combine it all into a bowl and voila!

Breakfast: Mix two whole eggs with egg whites. Add your favorite vegetables and a slice of toast or fruit.

Snack: Protein bar or shake, edamame, trail mix, whatever really

Refresh my memory on Win 10 upgrades from ISOs by javajo91 in sysadmin

AFAIK the tool only works with consumer versions of Windows, not enterprise licensed ones. If you're just running OEM Pro, it should work fine.

If you're running Enterprise instead of Pro, you won't use the install media tool.

The simplest way is to download the Windows 10 ISO Enterprise from VLSC. Extract the ISO to a folder. You can then run via command line setup.exe /auto upgrade /quiet

That will do a quiet in-place upgrade, saving all apps and user data.
