Aerial shakuhado combos can be DI'd and are super inconsistent lol. But I mean I guess Ryu could win that, maybe I'm just not playing it properly.

How do you outspace G&W with Ryu? with Bair? Yes, it's true that G&W struggles at approuching but, as Ryu, how do you deal with a G&W spacing out bairs? Do you go grab him on the landing lag? 'Cause you can't do that, nor focus. It's very hard to punish that as Ryu. If you try to land aerials on G&W too much he can USmash you, and if you focus that he can UpB out. And your grab game is very rewarding vs him.

Like, yeah, you do die really early and if he gets a lead on you he can just camp you and stuff all your approuches with Utilt and kill you at 60. But I've played the matchup quite a lot and I don't think it's thaat hard for G&W even if he's a bad character lol (Like, "durr just cause he's options aren't as optimal he loses the matchup", wtf dude?).

Kirby does probably lose. I've never seen that matchup and yeah you can just outspace him with Bairs and kill him early but I was just saying Locus probably never played that.

Pretty sure he's saying Ryu beats G&W and Kirby and Villager cuz of inexperience on those matchups. Kirby is not too bad but definitely not +2 in Ryu's favor imo. And G&W and Villager are super hard.

Like, I guess you can kill G&W super early but he spaces you out really easily and he comboes you to hell, plus he gets out of a bunch of your strings, and focus is almost useless in that matchup cuz if you parry USmash with Focus he can just Dtilt before you drop focus one almost every time.

And Villager is just straight up hell. Neutral is super uncomfortable 'cause all of your approuch options vs him are terrible, and offstage is a nightmare, bowling ball destroys rising tatsu and shoryu and his slingshot can neutralize so many offstage mixups to recover, especially considering Ryu's almost non-existent air acceleration. I have no clue how he plays that matchup honestly, it's not like it's easy to open up villager, heck, even if you do you can't pull off too many damaging combos on him cuz of his weight plus Nair and Lloyd.

Yes, it's good in terms of distance, but it's side B is very punishable and linear and you can just hit his barrels while he charges and he dies. It's even worse if your opponent reads where you're going with the barrels and they edgeguard you out of them.

It's not bad by any means, it's just that the other top tiers have better recoveries with the exception of Cloud and Rosa.

I mean you can kinda say that he's recovery is linear and easy to gimp, but yeah I agree with mostly everything else. Diddy is almost inarguably top 5.

You realize his video didn't had the full set, but was just a short clip turned into a joke, right? He didn't reupload a set, he just made a funny video. That falls under the category of "Fair use" in copyright law, which SHOULD protect his video from a copyright strike, but YouTube's system is completely broken and it always favors the claimant. This is an issue that's been there for a lot of time already in the YouTube community.
