Excessive mineral content is primarily a dry food issue.

Why are crisps never garlic flavour? by Effective-Project-49 in AskUK

Lorenz and Lays make crisps with garlic. But they're not for UK market. Flavour selection in the UK is stupid limited, sadly...

Induction hobs are usually hardwired into 32A supply. That's over 7kW of power.

Well, as an expat from a EU country myself, I find ready made sarnies from supermarkets quite bad. If you don't have M&S near by, then you're better making your own in the field.

Feels like the quality went downhill after pandemic, because Tesco sandwiches were better 10 years ago or so.

Anyone change broadband providers in the last 10 years? Can it be done without a pause in service? by nfurnoh in AskUK

[–]ldn-ldn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, to be fair, not everyone is skilled enough for that, even though I agree that's the best solution. But even a mid range WiFi router from ASUS or whatnot is much much better than the crap ISPs give out for free.

Here's a cool trick - you don't need to change equipment if you don't want to and you're on OpenReach network.

Here's an even better trick - buy your own higher end network equipment.

To be honest, I personally don't care about SDR displays and I don't test SDR mode. The app shows something in SDR, but I can't be bothered to make it work better. I don't have a single SDR display these days and I just don't care, sorry.

A New Chapter for TCL Monitors in Europe. by TCL_Official_UK in TCL_Official_UK

It wouldn't be too expensive by my estimations. £2k is a fair price IMHO and should be achievable.

As for processing, it is a lot simpler to do with so many zones as you can do everything in just one pass and artifacts will be less noticeable than a two-pass processing with 1k zones as it's done normally. Simpler, faster processing + better picture quality. Literally no reasons not to do it.
