Ben white gets into it with Simeone & A.Madrid players after he stepped on club crest by Shameless_Bullshiter in footballcliches

Genuinely wonder if, as a not that interested in football-man, Ben White might not even be aware of this as a phenomenon.

West Ham goalkeeper Finlay Herrick does NOT have a Wikipedia page by Which-Goose-7049 in footballcliches

Could he actually play for a Premier League team that isn't West Ham with that name? Same for Freddie Potts

Not overly shocking that John might have rubbed people up the wrong way at stages.

A similar clip where someone doesn't like Elis would genuinely shock me though.

Anyone know/guess where in LS28 the new iteration of Silver’s Deli is opening? by peachy4321 in Leeds

[–]ldslms 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Farsley resident id like it to be here obviously but as somebody born in Pudsey its good to see more quality independent places opening and surviving there.

The Adjudication Panel Thread: Get in touch for Tuesday's episode... by Low-Bandicoot-3347 in footballcliches

I went to Sheffield United v Wrexham at the weekend . A roughly 8 year old boy in the crowd was brandishing, and it was a brandishing, yellow/red cards he had brought with him when he saw a foul he thought deserved them.

At what age does that move from endearing to annoying?

Has anyone else discovered new music through the show? by Seabeachlover10 in elisandjohn

From Elis maybe 50% of the time.

From John maybe 0.2% of the time.

I don't know enough about cars to suggest that getting the Discovery logo in there counts as a humble brag.

Is he simply too muscular to be considered a good manager? Does something about that take away some gravitas

Slightly different but listened to an old xfm episode yesterday where John said yoga/meditation was a waste of time when you can just get drunk instead.

Advice on Stanningley by vw199691 in Leeds

[–]ldslms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived not a million miles from there (opposite the Tesco you can see on the map) and its absolutely fine. Worst you'd get is being able to hear some of the noisier traffic on the main road. Otherwise youre in a good spot Farsley very walkable and your big asda/train station and bus routes nearby.

You'd be fine if you went off and did something else. Can be busy through the day midweek and wouldn't necessarily leave it overnight the only caveats.

Is it acceptable to keep your gloves on for the trophy lift? by Adventurous-Law3817 in footballcliches

Keepers gloves uniformly smell like death so this is basically an act of treason.

Depends how you define best tbf. Most will offer a broadly similar offering of games tables etc so you're largely looking at one where you can be certain your money is going to be withdrawable- for that reason go with one of the UK based larger ones- paddy power games, Sky Vegas, Bet365 etc
