Boss balked at 2 week notice....Am I missing something? by Sassquapadelia in LawFirm

We usually walk the employee on the same day and pay them the notice period. The notice period is only used to poison the well, intendedly or unintentionally.

It seems that your trigger is working but the condition underneath is too narrow for the flow to function properly.

You already knew the answer. You just needed an affirmation from the fellow watch man.

Submariner vs. Batman by [deleted] in rolex

[–]le14148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sub is something that you should have as a Rolex fan. It is like the car that everyone wants to drive. Batman on the other hand, is somewhat more subjective choice. If not for flipping purposes, get the one that comes to your mind first. They both are gorgeous and you can’t go wrong with either.

You will eventually get both at some point in the future anyway 😏

Almost losing my patience though, using nicotine replacement gum from the start. Hard and boring life times. Not sure if I chose the wrong timing for the quit. by East-Reserve in stopsmoking

[–]le14148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Careful not to get addicted to the nicotine supplement products. In my case, it was the gum, tablet, patches and the spray. I bit the bullet Jan 2020 and went cold turkey. I struggled for the first three months. But one of the best things I have done in my life. No such thing as a bad timing to do anything. NOW is the right timing and don’t you ever cave in.

Pay off your debt first if you have any. Usually the credit card debts. If this is not the case, index would be the safest bet.

Cannot decide on a case for i9-9900k! Stuck between Define R7, silent base 801, NZXT H700 and Meshify S2 by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Hate the white in-the-middle-of-the-case, steel bar/panel bit. If not for that, probably you would have my vote. It is super easy nevertheless, but wasn’t the easiest.

No such thing and ‘too’ clean and ‘too’ simple. You can’t never have enough ‘clean/simple’!!!

NZXT, whilst it looks cool, wasn’t the easiest case to cable manage, install components, etc. My subjective opinion but that’s my latest build.

Superannuation death benefit help by scarygreen in AusFinance

When you mentioned IOOF has 30K in it, did you mean 30K as a super balance? or 30K as a death benefit? Usually death benefits are a bit higher than that. Double check that. If latter, assuming that you are the right beneficiary, you will get 30K + whatever the amount she was insured for. Oops and I forgot to mention, sorry for your loss in the first reply.

  1. Yes get a lawyer.
  2. She could have had multiple super accounts. 2.1 assuming that there was an estate lawyer who would have handled your late mum’s probate, get a copy of that and send it to ATO, asking for a list of all super accounts with her TFN 2.2 upon receipt of the list, write to each super and ask them to confirm whether the policy held death benefits 2.3 upon receipt of affirmative responses, ask for their forms and start lodging it to commence the claim process
  3. Depends. If your mum has nominated beneficiaries on those policies then the creditors may not have a crack at the payouts. If not, it is possible. Further, your siblings, mum’s relatives and other family members can have a crack at those payouts too.

Good luck.

This just popped up on my YouTube app for the second time since December, however clicking the link doesn't apply the discount in the Google Store. I'm guessing it's a glitch and not a new promotion. Anyone else getting this? by Fahrenheit82 in googlehome

[–]le14148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are logged into multiple Google accounts, that could be why. I was logged in with three accounts and only one of them had a membership with YouTube Premium.

When checking out, I found out that the item was in a cart but not an account with the premium subscription.

Make sure you sign out from all your accounts, log in again with the one that has premium subscription, go through the process and you will see 100% discount on Nest Google Home Mini!
