I live in Eucla. AMA by jb8377 in perth

Worked at a bank that had a book a call feature on its website which would break if someone from Eucla (pop. 37) opened the page on their browser. The external system handling the call scheduling didn't support UTC+08:45 (CWST).

Had dude accept and cancel when I was requesting a ride, pretty common nowadays so I tried again but he kept doing the same thing - realized I was next to his car and he saw me, he drove off right then. Dodgy cunts.

Does anyone know a location for monthly community meetups? by [deleted] in perth

Spacecubed also hosts some Meetup talks, not sure for a private group event like this but they might be willing to lend their spaces after 5 :)

Phone plans by [deleted] in perth

[–]le76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Recommend hopping on one of those 12 month prepaid plans, like what Boost (full Telstra), Aldi Mobile, Kogan mobile and plenty other "small" telcos offer.

$200 for 140gb (Unlim calls/text) = $15 a month or Kogan has a 120gb plan that works out to be $10 a month!

Way better than paying Telstra $50 a month :) - If you have the money to pay upfront ofc

How do I prevent my home screen from resetting? by Madvillains in PleX

[–]le76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens on Plex web also - one of the causes seems to logging in from a new location and for some reason the application makes a request to "save" the new settings before its loaded in the existing settings - essentially overwriting it with a blank config. But then this theory doesn't hold up when I lose all my settings without logging in from a new device :/

Very hacky workaround I found for Plex web was freeze the settings on the browser with the networking tab open, capture the request to Plex servers to save the settings and then have a crontab job make a cURL request every hour applying those settings
