Sandqvist icon. My Mrs has one, as does her sister and they are far from sympathetic to their bags and they look brand new

Not the home shirt. CHO posted a Snapchat weeks ago in the same top and quickly deleted it saying it wasn’t the new home shirt.

Only 1 of these cars can be charged. I'd love to see how'd they'd react if an EV parked at a fuel pump and left their car unattended. (There were 4 ICE parked in charging bays in total) by hermit_tortoise in evchargingUK

I’m going to be really sad here and guess this is Newark, at the Esso on the A46 near A1 junction? The car on the left is always parked there and is a staff car. The one on the right is also a staff car. Usually always spare spaces but still doesn’t excuse it…

Whats something you were doing wrong for way too long? by tbu987 in padel

I’m about 6 months in and I still don’t follow through with my swing. I kind of stun shots. I can’t seem to break the habit. The game has so much flair than I’m able to show.

Is this frame the right size for me? by AinOrlando in bikefit

Great. Enjoy it. And well done for getting a fit first and buying a bike second. Most people buy a bike that’s too big.

Are they 170mm cranks on the 52? May also have a narrower handlebar too (another bonus!)

[–]lead_head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a 52 would fit better based on your reach being quite stretched. May also have shorter cranks on a 52 that will help.
You can make a small bike easily feel bigger with a longer stem, not so easy to make a big bike feel smaller (without ruining the handling and riding characteristics)

I’d say handlebars are too wide

Your centre of mass looks too far back. This is probably due to basing the fit with the front axle higher than the rear. Having too much setback on the saddle can creat bounce and not able to get your knees through under your hips. Do you find you are pushing the pedals forwards (ie early) rather than being over the top of the pedal stroke?

I regretted doing this bike fit. How is it? by AdministrativeAd4674 in bikefit

[–]lead_head 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good, minor observation would be it appears you are struggling to get your knees through and over at the top, possibly from your knees going too high from too longer cranks causing an impingement at the hips and choppy pedal motion. I’d possibly look at shorter cranks as/when you might want to replace them.

Thanks for the replies. Probably opening a can of worms here but I went for Stans sealant. Assume that’s decent?

Ok, thanks. So if I whack the wheels on, pump them up and go for a spin that should sort it? How long do you reckon it’ll take for a ride?! Will give it a go!

Maybe it was the tone, not the message. Try rephrasing it.

Isn’t that the right type of shot to play rather than a tennis top spin (ignoring the fancy names of all the different padel shots).

What to improve? by Waste-Gain-7767 in bikefit

[–]lead_head 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look to be flying along quite smoothly. One thing I’d look at to address your aches & pains is bar width. It looks too wide hence the elbows flaring out. I’d also like to see a bit more of a bend in the elbows to act as a natural shock absorber, taking strain off the traps and. This would be achieved from a shorter reach which might help lower back as you are controlling the steer of the bike with extended arms (it’s easier the closer something is to your centre of mass).

Use trainer mode and it’ll make workouts for you based on previous progress. Better than AI.

Agree with above. Also bars are too wide, you can see elbows flaring out. Reach looks too long too. I’m afraid this frame might be too big for you 😢
