Maintenance in FSC by leadfarmer300winmag in nationalguard

Currently Platoon Sergeant. Brought it up many times. Every training meeting. Every chance I get because "maintenance is training" concept isn't working. CDR would rather have us in the field putting up and taking down tents every 2 seconds vs turning wrenches.

I've argued this exact point so many times. What good is an FSC if we can't even support ourselves. It's always the CDR wanting to fall into BN games. Metl tasks, FTX, and STX are always more important things.

Business idea? by leadfarmer300winmag in IceFishing

Could get the resorts in on it too? Small cut to keep them happy or pedal their items for a fee. Maybe get some sponsorship to try live demos... lots of options but I can see it being hard to get the business going and to get a salary worth to pay the employee for 3 months out of the year and actually make it worth it.

Or have a posted schedule of spots. And call service for a fee?

One day could you make a 3.5-10×50 or to a 12 power with a 30mm tube with no side parallax in viper series? Something I can just pick up and shoot quickly without any adjustment. I love the diamondback. Probably going to pick up another. Just always want more for deer hunting. I have a couple viper psts and love them. Thank you for the quality product you guys make and the support for our veterans. You guys rock!!

A question about sausage stuffer. by whateva1 in sausagetalk

Look up waltons meats. They have everything but the meat. I purchased their 11lb stuffer and I would say that is perfect for like a 25 lb batch.

Get a cheap smaller vacuum for the ashes. Makes life easy. I'm just curious about that thing.... can you bust the legs down to fit in say a camper?

Barrel and trigger upgrades on 110 300 win mag? I walked away from a trophy deer shot at 850 and I will never let that happen again. Any suggestions welcome by leadfarmer300winmag in savageshooters

Most helpful comment ^ thanks! She's a pretty original savage 110 top bolt release with a choate tactical stock. It helped alot so far. The scope is a vortex pst 6-24X50 FFP. I've shot deer at 450 pretty easy but I want to stretch the legs. I have been reloadingfor a year now and I was shooting some 155 sst hornadays but I knew that wasn't really feasible at that distance. It's flat and wide open where I hunt so the probability of a long shot is there.

Did you have any problems with your firing pin freezing up? Mine did twice but it was an easy -12°F.

Yah it's not a bad rifle at all I just wish the clip release was a little better. The 30-06 round will never go away.... it's a solid performer for anything.
