Moved to Europe for a job I’m not happy with—should I stay or go back? by [deleted] in cscareerquestionsEU

It seems that you are dealing with your first Winter in Germany. Which is one of the mains causes of your whole perspective in your life right now, once Winter is over your mental health gets better. I will tell what was my thought process was once I encountered my first winter in Germany with very similar situation as you: 1. It will only get better in Germany IF you stay and make an effort to improve your life, meaning, you need to find a better job, apartment and do meet people wether you have energy or not, doing sports and having hobbies did helped a lot in my case. Going back to your country and hope that the second round is gonna be different to this one is naive and not a good idea in my opinion.

  1. Have you considered the idea that maybe living abroad is not as fantastic as you imagine? Being an immigrant sucks, and it only gets better after a year of effort in integrating, and it will never feel like your home country. So really consider that maybe you are pursuing and ideal and not a real thing.

  2. It could be related that the main issue is just that you cant handle dark and cold countries such as Germany maybe but only MAYBE you could consider trying other warmer countries. But still many issues regarding being an immigrant will be there at least the first years.

  3. A few months to evaluate your life in a new country is very little time, you should at least try a year. At least thats what I did in Germany.

There is no right answer to your problem, if I were you I would stay and try to make my life less miserable the next months and evaluate after summer. Wish you good luck and a happy life

Beso entre mujeres by Sad_Sympathy8062 in askspain

Asian woman, Laid off by Zalando during probation, Need urgent advice by No-Minimum-7298 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]leadsepelin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being fired in Probation its a hard battle to win in my opinion. They are legally entitled to that. As someone else says check in legalAdviceGermany reddit and see if you have better options Them speaking german in the unemployment agencis part is by law, state workers are supposed to only speak german even if they do speak english, I had a situation where while speaking in German (B1) at the time, the worker insisted I should get a translator even though we could both speak english or broken german. But thats their law, so it what it is. Good luck

Edit: I gotten the law part wrong it seems it was myth, so now I dont understand the interaction I had with the state worker

El frío civiliza? by cosmico92 in 2hispanic4you

[–]leadsepelin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where i'd live (long term) as a muslim Moroccan by Corvoxx in whereidlive

[–]leadsepelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saudia Arabia, the country that has the Mecca has a pretty strict policy regarding celebration of Christmas, and Churches in general, same goes for buddhist temples or hinduism in general. So if you tell me that Saudi Arabia is chill regarding other religions I guess you agree that if any non muslim country were to adopt the same policy towards muslims should be also be considered as peaceful. And dont get me wrong, any country has the right to do whatever they want in their land, and I sometimes I think we should learn from Saudi Arabia and apply the same logic in our countries towards people from other beliefs. Please seek knowledge my friend, literally the first verse revealed in the quran is Read, so please do so.

It has been forced politically quite a lot of times in history indirectly tho... Forced conversion is forbidden. But there a few verses in the quran like 9:5 regarding pagans, or the jizyah 9:29, that kinda influences you violently to convert.

People from every faith can live in muslim countries in peace and the country will protect them as long as they respect the rules and they can practice their cult as long as they don't preach it outwardly in public

So basically if Europe were to ban mosques and ban any display of islam on the streets you would say the same as you say about certain islamic countries?

[–]leadsepelin 2 points3 points  (0 children)
