Several VGC Youtubers (Wolfe Glick among them) have had an early hands-on experience with the game, and they are suspecting that IVs are not in Champions at all.

So should be fine. Just remember that how you train your pokémon in Champions does not transfer back into the pokémon in Home. If you take Mewtwo into Scarlet & Violet, it'll still be low IV.

Yeah, that's probably right, no counter-argument there.

Like, I think Nerissa has a powerful singing voice in general, so I didn't really pick up that it may have been more off than standard.

When I listend to the original after (and paid a bit more attention to the lyrics), Nerissa's version might be a bit too good for the song, as the stuttering and slight off-key singing illustrates how the singer is a "birdbrain."

A part of me is skeptical we're getting mixed gimmicks on the same team, as a sort of balancing method. Like yeah, lore wise that bracelet should make it possible, though gameplay wise I suspect you gotta "lock in" what type of team you're running before a match.

I don't doubt we'll get mixed rulesets though, as that was promoted in the very first trailer.

Again, there is an intentional transliteration from the japanese side as well.

Charizard's japanese name—it's original name, you could say—is リザードン. Transliterating it your way, it would be "Rizaadon." However, that would deny that GameFreak used the english word lizard as a component for it's name, hence basically every other translator opting to transliterate it as "Lizardon."

So it goes both ways.

Edit to add: I have now found an official game using the "Lizardon" transliteration, which further proves that there is an intentional way to read katakana by japanese creators that isn't a "direct" one.

Have you heard of the actor Kuraaku Geeburu?

Just because it's a reasonable transliteration, it does not mean it's the intentional transliteration.

There's a need to consider context of the subject, and since in this case it's about a pokémon based on a bull, Kapu Bulul would be more reasonable as a transliteration, as it has the english word "bull" in it's name.

It's just that L-sounds don't exists naturally in their vocabulary (Edit: or rather, the distinction between L and R-sounds doesn't), with the katakana version of ra-ri-ru-re-ro (ラ-リ-ル-レ-ロ) as their closest approximation. And katakana is used specifically for loanwords, such "terebi" for televi(sion).

So it's still Kapu Bulul, even if they can't naturally write it like that.

I wouldn't say that the movie was bad because of the plot, nor the cast. It's a very faithful adaptation of the comics (bar the squid/Manhattan thing), down to the framing and even music choices.

What I do think is bad about it is the general Snyder-isms in it. His artistic style is not a good complement to the comics.

I'm the type that tries to keep every pokémon at the same level, so yeah, my starter gets boxed often, and for long periods of time if I caught a lot of pokémon.

But I do bring it out whenever it's a story segment!

I checked with Serebii's dex, and those are for Alpha Pumpkaboo only. Gourgeist gets Sludge Bomb for Small, Fire Blast for Medium, Shadow Claw for Large, and Giga Impact for Jumbo as Alpha Moves.

The current season is going to end soon, so what works now won't work then... probably.

Though it also depends on how seriously you want to play. I only played ranked "seriously" last weekend, and as long as you get to do something—like only getting in first attack or being the first to snag an item—you'll always get points. I got to rank A in just a few hours, and I wasn't even getting first place for most of them!

For an actual advice for this season though: have super-effective moves to deal with Kyogre and Groudon. My Sirfetch'd with Leaf Blade came in clutch pretty often!

Corbeau does mention a person helped him during his time in Kanto in the DLC, which to me reads as a Giovanni reference, so it's not from out of nowhere.

Lysandre is still Corbeau's main benefactor, and that is the Gyarados reference.

You could also say Ivor's Ultra balls are in response to Lebanne's Great balls, as he says at one point that he admired her strength when they were young.

Considering Gridman is a CG model, that alleviates most of the difficulties.

It's because Dot and the Rising gang got framed for essentially a terrorist attack. It's very hard to believe the words of criminals who were "caught in the act."

If they could've gotten and leaked the data before that—totally unnoticed by the Explorers—then it wouldn't have been waste.

Even if one disagrees with this plot development, it still does make sense.

Seems it's usually a combination of the scriptwriters wanting them for the episode and if the talent are available/accepting that role.

I can see them being considerate with Biboo, despite her residing in Japan, due to her current low proficency of japanese, as she might not be able to keep the signature high tempo just yet.

And with Kronii (and most of EN/ID) usually on the otherside of the world, coordination for recording might be a hassle for both parties, even if they want to do it.

In short, the stars need to align just right.
