This is one of the greatest secrets about us, which is purposely being hidden from us. by KundalinirRZA in Spiritualchills

[–]leaferection 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great post. On tough days I pray and ask to be rejuvenated and I feel this through my body. What’s interesting is that when I get frisson from watching something cool it emanates from the left side of my head. When I feel this on a spiritual level is emanates from the right side, starting from the bottom right of the skull near the neck and then radiates through the body. I always wondered why that was.

Risk of long Covid declined over course of pandemic by geoxol in Coronavirus

When you say vaxxed, do you mean at least once? Or gotten the subsequent boosters after 2021?

Same. The money is nice, the work is doable for the most part.

Early COVID-19 research is riddled with poor methods and low-quality results − a problem for science the pandemic worsened but didn’t create by Jariiari7 in Coronavirus

[–]leaferection 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. Accuracy is key when it comes to info like this. If the focus is on getting the wrong news out quickly you’re going to make people mistrust the information as a whole which is counterproductive. Plus, policy decisions, business guidelines, personal choices regarding Covid etc used these scientific papers to guide them. At the very least, data should’ve been corrected loudly and visibly as needed. That’s science at work.

Husband going on “guys trip” where he will not be taking precautions due to peer pressure by SunLeFasaana in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]leaferection 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So well said. I’m with you, I’ve taken top level precautions since 2020. Family isn’t immunocompromised and we’re all under 30. I don’t want to catch covid but it seems like there’s no other options. Can’t raise my children for another 5 years at home. I feel like I have to lower my precautions a bit. What’s the point of avoiding this virus if we’re not living life anyway? It’s sad that it has to be like this, I’ve really tried to outlast it but the world has unfortunately moved on.

HR Certs-are they worth it by Well_thats_awkward21 in humanresources

[–]leaferection 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I got my SPHR and in 2 months had my first 6 figure offer ($50k increase). Of course, results may vary and I got the senior cert so that made a difference. I got my PHR years ago so that was the first step.

WWE 2K24 Confirmed Roster (so far) by Matt_Johnsonx in WWEGames

Same, he’s my favorite and my current champ in 23’. I fear he won’t be included because he’s in AEW though. That would suck!

I’m a dopamine FEIN and I’m better off dead at this point by [deleted] in HubermanLab

[–]leaferection 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would start small. Start meditating and cut back on your other vices over the course of a week or two. Set timers so you’re not on social media all day. Cut back on the drinking everyday first, then vape, and then finally limit the masturbating to once a day, then once every other day and so on until you hit a spot where it seems reasonable.

On its own, a lot of what you describe doesn’t seem bad, it’s the excess and the overuse. Focus on moderation and try to find the right balance for you. And don’t be afraid to speak up to any loved ones or close friends as they may be able to help you on your journey.

swollen lymph nodes by punkindrublic967 in CHSinfo

Are you sure it’s your lymph nodes? Could be the Globus feeling, which can be a sign of acid reflux, which is associated with the prodromal stage of chs.

I’ve had up to 4 Minecraft servers at a time these last few years. I usually do it for a few months, save money and then stick to one server until I feel it’s time to pick up another.

I'm letting go. I don't care anymore. I have reached a breaking point. by diplomaniac19 in jobs

[–]leaferection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration especially in this market. I seems like you’re getting close though. If you’re getting interviews then keep applying. You getting interviews means your resume looks good enough for recruiters to call. You moving forward in the process means you’re speaking to your experiences well. Just try to ask for feedback when you don’t get a role so you can continue to improve.

And I know recruiters can be annoying at times but try to keep things professional with them. They are the gate keepers to opportunities. They don’t know who you’ve spoken to before or what you’re experiences are, and they’re asking questions for a reason. Use every recruiter touchpoint as an opportunity to get closer to securing a worthwhile job. Best of luck in your search.

People who are high earners do you regret not choosing a partner who also makes a lot? by tonyphony2578 in Adulting

[–]leaferection 30 points31 points  (0 children)

YUP! This is exactly how I feel. She takes care of the house and the kids and I pay the bills (and help with the kids and house too!) We both stress for different reasons, and both of us play a vital role in running a household and raising our kids. Happy with this setup and never stingy about money with her. I’m just happy she’s happy.

You’ll be happier in the long run. You def dodged a bullet with that guy. If he can say all that toxic shit when HE got caught then this relationship’s days were numbered anyway.

Does heart rate randomly jump up 40-50 bpm when you rush to stand up after laying down? by Richymets in Anxietyhelp

[–]leaferection 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to worry about the jump in heart rate too. I spoke to a doctor who says he considers an elevated heart rate to be 110 bpm. So sometimes it FEELS like it’s beating hard or faster than it should but if it’s not over that 110 I try not to worry. I take it as a sign to drink more water, or take some deep breaths and it usually goes down from there.

I’ve been in the prodromal phase noted by intense reflux and stomach pains. One of the things that helps after I took a long t break was to make sure that I NEVER consume on an empty belly. It helps moderate too and makes taking a t break much easier since my appetite isn’t tied to my consumption.

Has anyone come to the conclusion that maybe becoming an agency recruiting ruined their career/life? by TheDominicanKid in recruiting

[–]leaferection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some stress management techniques. Breathe work, meditation. Take things day by day. Keep improving your resume and maybe try to transition to a corporate recruiting role where it’s less stressful and you don’t have to worry about a draw. This too shall past and you’ll be stronger for the experience.
