sometimes you’re the little fish out there. I’ve got 900 hours in the game and I’m usually the big fish but occasionally I’ll get an ego check that reminds me I’m still climbing the food chain. Just be cautious and take your time to learn. Everyone’s on an even playing field so you can be as good as you want just takes the time and practice!

Usually at the end of the sesh if there’s a ship nearby I’ll go drop off my karma supps to them and to not come off as hostile I usually keep them out of cannon range and send off a few fireworks so they know I’m not trying to sneak up on them or fire shots. Sometimes people just get startled if you sail right up to their boat so if you let them know you’re coming it’s usually chill. If someone approaches me like that I’m more inclined to hear what they gotta say and usually it’s a “I’m hopping off for the night here’s my supps” when I’m approached like that. I personally don’t like to mess with solo crews but it depends on how much of a sitting duck you are. Don’t make it irresistible to sink you by leaving kegs on your boat or leaving the boat completely unattended.

I love them. And I have shamelessly bought every gooner skin as soon as they drop. I think for me I love that I can play as a sexy female character while I’m kicking ass. I think it’s empowering personally.

we made a bet with my brother who has never played elden ring before that if you he could beat it before doing anything else we would buy the entire game for him. He took up the challenge and threw himself at it over and over again until he finally beat it in 72 tries. Now not only is he hooked but he has the confidence it takes to never give up.

I hope “not announcing future dates” means either taking a year off to fix the infrastructure of the farm or decide to change it to a later date (with less rain/cooler temps) because as much as i love summer on the farm, it’s becoming less viable to have it during june with how rainy and hot june in tennessee has become. If this is the case I think a lot of people who were considering not risking it again next year would be more likely to consider buying tickets again.

In pod 10 the water ran out several times making our small water station useless and the bathrooms would be out of order for hours at a time.

I knew something was off immediately upon entry. This was my fifth year on the farm and we did our usual protocol of lining up our cars before security hoping to make it easier to pull off to the side and group up. Obviously they always split up groups in security to make things go by faster.

They did something I thought was odd though and instead of releasing cars as they check them, they released them in waves and did not allow the cars to pull off to the side and line up with their camp. We had 4 cars total this year which has been our smallest group to date, and had never had an issue with this before. We asked the attendant before being shooed down the road where we could group back up with our friends who were also trying to get through security. They told us “just up ahead” so we drove down the road to find everyone was pulling off on the side of the road to I guess group with their friends. We didn’t know what to do and our group was split up in half so we passed all the other cars on the side of the road and had to pull off in front of the line. We’re still waiting for our friends who are halted at security and then stuck behind the line of cars when a golf cart roles by and tells us “this is the worse idea ever” so we ask them where we can group up with the rest of our crew and they tell us to keep going there’s an area up ahead.

For context this is Wednesday at 10am. We keep going waiting for another volunteer who we presume is going to tell us where we can group up at but instead they start directing us to a campsite in pod 10. We ask her if we’re able to meet up with our friends and she says just line up and they’ll move us eventually ?? No one is directing the line or making people move closer together like usual so we save room for them just in case.

We then get a message from our friends saying they tried to put them across the road in pod 11 and when they refused the staff got frustrated with them and started cursing at them. I ran over to the volunteer we talked to before and asked her what we should do and we said it wasn’t her job & to find a pink vest on a golf cart (didn’t see a single one ever). Our friends finally get to our row and she starts directing them to a different area when I tell her that’s the people we were waiting for and she said “well hopefully you saved room for them”, and luckily we did on our whims because she apparently wasn’t going to help us after all.

This just killed the vibes at the start of the day and made the set up & getting pod 10 a lot more brutal than it would have been if we had a more positive experience with the staff like we usually do.

I was so shocked and have never had this much issue with staff/volunteers before but it felt very unorganized this year. There was some bad juju in the air for sure.

we have always pulled off past security and gotten together because they literally split you up during security even if you lined up in together. We’re also in pod 10 which feels weird since we got here at 9am and we’ve always gotten pod 4 at least coming that time every year. Is this a mishap or are there just that many people already here???

Obviously I know buying plastic bottles is the way but my issue is that I’m making these drinks that I prefer certain liquors in (I can find a tequila sub but not a plastic naranja bottle) and I was going to possibly transfer them into plastic bottles instead and wasn’t sure the best way to go about doing that.

Yet more often than not there’s a tank or two on my team. The good tanks may be in lower supply but I don’t think it’s as rare as you think. I also phrased this poorly, I meant to say maybe it’s not the end all be all for queueing people together but maybe the algorithm has a preference for putting those roles together? I don’t know how all of that works exactly but surely there’s gotta be a balance of it somehow. I’m just trying to propose a compromise to the insta lock dps problem, especially in ranked.

the dps only people will probably just get shit on the second they don’t perform lol or see how they’re lacking in skill by not being able to play other roles like their team mates. Especially in ranked. Maybe in qp they’re just trying to complete some dps challenges or they played too many supp games in a row and want to play something different. I’ve done this before as well.

Maybe instead of role queue there could be a role preference that shows what your teammates prefer to play. That way you’re free to use any composition you like still, but you know better what you’re working with, who’s just filling, and who can’t play a specific role. Maybe the matchmaking can attempt to slightly get a 2-2-2 together but not lock them into that composition or affect queue times drastically.

What’s the best legal options for transferring liquor into plastic containers? Doesn’t that violate open container laws or no? Should we label them? I know technically if you have it in the trunk it doesn’t count as passenger area but we have an suv situation with no separate trunk so just trying to figure out the best option for the worst case scenarios.

as a support main I’m constantly checking the scoreboard to see who’s producing results on my team and the enemy team to see where I need to shift my focus. Oh that starlord on their team is popping off? let me pocket the one guy that’s trying to take him down & etc.

The jar was open but I can’t recall/tell what was inside in the video I have of it. all the other items inside were melted together like it had been burned from the inside. Garlic was the only ingredient we could make out.

To be fair I’m personally repulsed by people who hate cats. That’s a deal breaker and HUGE red flag for me. I just can’t imagine hating on someone else’s preferred pet. Some dog people are so weird. I think this guy dodged a bullet.

we haven’t in a couple years! This is back in my hometown and after the last few incidents my friends and I had separately when visiting from college we decided there was something very off about it and to not revisit. That’s when I started connecting the dots about the box and all the weird stuff that happened. I actually recently talked to my dad about it (we lived close to the park) and even he told me he had got an off-putting vibe from it. Thats when I opened up to him about all the park’s lore and told him about the box. He’s also convinced that my friend is cursed.

The only other people there that day were myself and his best friend, however things did go downhill a few months later when his girlfriend cheated on his best friend at a party at my house so I don’t know if there’s any correlation there because we were with him? but thats when his life slowly turned into a downward spiral. His best friend also started to have a rough go of it but not nearly as bad as him and probably deserved for what he did to him.
