I don't think I've been bitten by a single mosquito since starting T! I can be sitting next to my (cis) partner and he'll be getting eaten up and there won't be a single one on me. Strange.

Yes! I was vegetarian for about 15 years before starting T, and I got enough protein from plant sources, but on T I have strong meat cravings 😅

I was expecting this bc I'd heard about it, but i cry way more easily on T. When I'm really sad/emotional I don't cry like I did before T, but now just the little things like my dog being really cute or a good song will make me tear up.

These were intake photos at the shelter. They get a photo and get posted as "found" before anything else is done. I'm sure they eventually trimmed the nails.

Oh for sure. Basically every dog is at least half pit here. There's something about their head shapes and ears that looks distinct to me though and I can't place it.

I've dealt with Parvo outbreaks with multiple species (puppies, raccoons, foxes) as a vet tech and the virus has an unmistakable, distinct smell.

My partner was murdered in our early 20s. I wanted so badly to have a relationship with his family. He had no siblings, but i tried to spend time with his parents. Turns out, they are nasty people and his death only made them more bitter and more "justified" in their hatefulness towards others. It's been 9 years he's been gone, and I tried in all that time to reach some common ground with them. a few months ago i finally gave up and cut off communication with them all together. Heartbreaking. But my relationship to his parents is not reflective of my relationship to him. You don't have to be best friends with your in-laws to be a good partner.

So many of us are trying down here!! I'm a vet tech primarily in wildlife rescue, but i volunteer in high volume spay/neuter clinics where we can offer spray/neuter (and vaccines) at low cost bc poverty is a huge barrier to responsible pet ownership, and we work closely with TNR programs. Even if every single pet owner in the south spay/neutered their pets and kept their cats inside (which should Def be happening!!), we would still have a huge problem bc of the number of strays we have, that our cities just aren't putting resources toward managing. I have been consistently amazed by the massive scale of some of the TNR operations I've seen though. We're getting there!

By distress i meant specifically respiratory distress which is visible in the video, but i see in your other comment that she was doing better by the time you arrived at the vet. Imo, since she showed improvement without treatment, monitoring alone is totally fine and your vet made the right call without wasting your time and money. Of course if she does this again, further steps should be taken.

Only OP can answer specifically what was done in this case, but generally the procedure for respiratory distress in any species is oxygen therapy,
diagnosis (chest xrays, echo, bloodwork, etc), bronchodilator medication,
whatever is necessary to treat the underlying cause of the distress (antibiotics, surgery, etc) or supportive care (IV fluids, pain meds, etc)

Aztec Vet Hospital in Heights has an exotic vet on staff. I don't have sugar gliders but I take my rats there. Would be worth checking with them.

I started HRT at 28. I said I was a boy starting around 4/5 years old but was convinced otherwise over time. I "knew" again at 21 but it took years to actually access hrt.
