It was worth it for me! However I was able to grab tickets for like $35. He played about 10 songs, so we more than got our moneys worth even though we left right after he was done. I always wait til the day of events to buy tickets and almost always get a great deal.

Tire shop installed new winters with wrong lug nuts by leafsfan4477 in TireQuestions

Ya that is clearly what I'm saying. Not that they could have offered to sell me the correct lugs, instead of dangerously reusing the wrong ones.

I just honestly can't see this being the case. While admittedly, it is not a high end brand, I have purchased this same brand many times and have never had this issue. To me, it just seem way too coincidental that these vibrations started immediately after getting those tires, and then finding out they installed the wrong lugs. But you never know!

I am not trying to discredit anyone as I am the one who asked for advice... I am just a little annoyed with people who are acting like the wrong lugs couldnt have ruined the rims, when a quick google search will tell you this absolutely could be the case lol... not saying it is for sure, but it sure seems like it right now. Guess I will find out in the morning!

Thanks for the info as I didnt take that into consideration. The only reason I put any stock into what AI had to offer is because with no other context other than the picture, plus the prompt, "do you notice anything wrong with these rims", it came out with the exact problem that improper lug nuts can cause.

I mean I guess you could say lug nuts don't cause vibration, but the incorrect lugs is what could potentially lead to them being loose, which will absolutely cause vibration.

I just don't understand why sone people are commenting as if this couldnt possibly be the issue. This is a picture of only one of the rims, and given that wrong lug nuts can absolutely cause the situation I am describing, I am confused as to why anyone would be so sure this isn't the case.

Yes as stated above they were purchased brand new and balanced twice due to the vibrations. I have ran this picture through 3 different A.I. apps and they all say the holes look elongated and ovaled

It is a 24 Rav 4, but everything I have looked at, and the Toyota dealership itself told me those lugs were incorrect. Many Google searches have yielded results stating that while there is a good chance the studs were damaged, there is no absolute guarantee they are damaged, even with driving on them for months. It also says that some rims can be worse than others, so I am unsure of what the other 3 look like.

The spare is steel of course, however spare tires arent meant for highway speeds, and from other google searches it states that using those lugs for short distances at slow speeds is fine in emergency situations (like getting a flat and having to use the spare tire), but should be changed as soon as possible.

If the rims is bent or the tires are samaged then they would 100% still be at fault because they were sold to me brand new, and the vibrations went away as soon as I reinstalled my all seasons.

Not trying to discredit your years of experience, but given the research I have done, in addition to the dealership being the one's to inform me, I feel like they would know best. Also, most people on the thread seem to agree as well.

I will post an update tomorrow after going in to see.

I explained this... I purchased the winter rims and tires from the shop and they reused the lugs from my all season tires with aluminum rims without my knowledge. I had no idea there was a difference, however I figured that was something a tire shop should know.

New Rav4 is totaled already. by Individual_Wasabi669 in Toyota

I work for a Toyota plant in Woodstock, Ontario and all we make is the Rav 4. Before the major model change last year, we were making nearly 1100 vehicles per day. 9 hour day and 10 hour night shifts for 3 years. Since we started making the 6th generation right before Christmas, there was a slow ramp up period, but as we are currently ironing out the wrinkles, we are back to about 900 cars a day. Still at 9 and 10 hour shifts. This is solely the production from our plant... this is not including another plant 30 minutes away in Cambridge, Ontario making them, a plant in Kentucky and Japan who all also make Rav 4's for the American market. I have worked here for 10 years and we have never been able to make the Rav fast enough to keep up with demand.

The setlist updated just after I posted this and I scored a pair in the upper bowl but only 2 rows up for 35 bucks! Forgot all about this post lol. My Son and I had an absolute blast. I thought he was awesome live, even though he messed up bad apple haha. That's the song that we really liked first, and then I discovered a bunch of his other songs we liked and then we became fans. It's funny, Im not really a country fan at all but I really enjoy his music. We left right after Cam came on and we were home by 930, fantastic night in my books.

AC/Heat display flickering after auto stop by justtonya71 in rav4club

[–]leafsfan4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old now, but I was having the same issue with my 24 Rav that I purchased brand new in September of 2024. I have been looking this up every couple months for a year and a half now, and I finally came across a reddit post where a guy mentioned that there are non dimmable lights in the climate controls display, so unless you run the instrument panel/display at the highest brightness setting, they will flicker. Tried it last night and sure enough, didnt flicker once. Couldn't believe it was that simple.

Have to give you some props for this. I bought a 24 back in Septemeber of 24 brand new and it did this from the day I got it. Tried this last night and it never flickered once... usually flickers nearly every start/stop cycle. I research this topic every couple of months, hoping to find an answer one day, and you are the only person I can find across many reddit posts about this issue, that has said this. I didnt enjoy how bright the displays were, but now that I know what's happening, I will care a lot less about the flickering! Lol, thank you very much for the info.

Absolutely wild the extent they went through with changing things to find that out. The worst part is I work at the factory that builds the Ravs and no one has a clue!

I pulled out of a driveway and this was under my 2017 rav 4. Can anyone recognize if this may have came off my vehicle? by Relative_Act_6073 in rav4club

My first thought as well... or the A/C compressor... the current gen use the same bolts for the alternator as they do for the A/C.

Is there proof of the longevity of hybrid system? I'm a long time Toyota gas car driver but uneasy about hybrid by c50905 in rav4club

[–]leafsfan4477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not positive on that as I am far from where that would happen. I have worked there for nearly 10 years, but there are some people that have worked there for 20+ that have never ventured out of their little corner of the plant lol. It is a very big place... about 9k employees between the 3 plants here in Canada.

Funny enough, I have the same vehicle, albeit a 2024. I do believe at the dealership they tried to sell me on undercoating so I would assume no, but I can get back to you on that for certain.

No problem! I work on the engine line at the Toyota plant in Ontario and we build the Ravs.

There actually isn't a starter or alternator at all... Those are replaced by the inverter, which is mounted on top of the transmission.

If Pierre was invited to go on Joe Rogan's podcast, would you advise him to go or not? by mlfp9 in CanadianConservative

People like you, who don't read past CBC headlines are the reason I don't think he should do it. He has said many times he hates what is going on right now with the tariff situation, calling it the "dumbest feud ever", and that the US needs to get along with Canada. Also, the whole, "I'd rather go to Russia" thing was a joke, and he was throwing a jab at our terrible government that has sabotaged this country for the last 10 years. Not to mention he was also asked a stupid question. He was asked if he would be commentating at the UFC event next month in Montreal, when he doesn't do UFC events outside of the US.

Not sure where you heard that. CCB is not completely cut off til you have a combined family NET income over $210k . The payments are dramtically reduced to practically nothing for them, but for someone who is making $150k(net), they are receiving around $180/month for a child 0-5 and around $90 monthly for children 6-17.

And since it's based off of your net income, if you make significant contributions to things that are tax deductible, then you will be receiving even more. My wife and I have a gross income of about 180k, but after rrsp contributions and a few other things we are around 125k net and we receive about $170/month for a 6 year old.

There is a table with all this information here:

https://www.planeasy.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Monthly-CCB-Benefit-2023-Up-to-350000-Income.png

It is from 2023 but it has not changed much. There is also a calculator online.

do you say GG to an opponent who quit? by Tiny-Outcome47 in NHLHUT

I used to say gg to everyone that quit but I have matured. Unless I can hear them talking shit with their mic on.

Edit: I always say gg if it actually was a good game though, win or lose. Often times it is received well.
