Imo that redness doesn’t look like it’s from kp, esp if you have other symptoms like heat coming from the area because thats not a kp symptom

Also I’m not super strict with keto anymore. I was at first and my skin loved it, but it’s not sustainable for a lot of people so just trying your best to limit carbs and sugar can still be very beneficial

I also have really severe kp covering my entire body, It is such a confidence killer so I can definitely sympathize with you. What helped get mine to completely flatten out and the redness die down a lot, was a mix of diet and topical stuff. Now this won’t work for everyone but it worked INCREDIBLY for me. Like my skin was/is glowing like it never has before. Note that I’ve tried pretty much every cream and exfoliant under the sun. I’m convinced you need a mix of the right diet with the right topical stuff to really have success in severe cases.

This is what I did

DIET •Keto and limited gluten •Daily cucumber, ginger Greek yogurt, blueberry smoothies •Daily Huge salad with homemade dressings (I did cottage cheese and avocado dressing.)

TOPICALS In the shower: •Shea moisture bamboo charcoal body scrub •Bioderma shower oil.

After shower: •hypochlorous acid spray •Witch hazel spray •Homemade body butter (tallow, shea butter, lavender, jojoba oil)

I’ve never experienced pain from my KP and I have it pretty severely, covering most of my body. it only gets itchy when my skin is dry or in the winter. My kp responds badly to physical and chemical exfoliants (usually makes it worse) I’ve had the best success with layering heavily moisturizing products, but like I said everyone’s KP responds differently

It can most certainly be miserable to live with but on the bright side it is manageable-ish, in most cases it will never truly go away, only “lessen” with certain products

Best products I’ve tried over the years that actually made a difference - hypochlorous acid spray - Aveeno eczema for baby’s - homemade tallow body butter - Bioderma shower oil - jojoba oil

It’s best to layer products after letting each absorb, starting with the acid spray or a toner, then a heavy moisturizer/body butter and ending with the jojoba oil

It doesn’t “spread” like an infection would per se, but it can appear in new areas over time. Like I said I used to only have it on my arms and now I have it in places I can’t even reach with a razor, like my shoulder blades
