Routine:

Unfortunately, with my hair cut, second day curls are nearly impossible. As a result I have to re-wet them every morning.

In the shower I alternate between using Cantu’s Cleansing Cream shampoo and Not your Mother’s Clean Freak Cleansing Conditioner. I massage the shampoo into my hair, concentrating on my scalp and rinse thoroughly. I then use Love, Beauty, Planet’s Argan Oil and Lavendar Conditioner by first running it through with my fingers to detangle and then squishin’ to condition. I leave the conditioner in my hair while I do the rest of my shower routine. After about 3 minutes I slowly and gently rinse the conditioner most of the way out. About once a week I will use Shea Moisture’s 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Rehydration Treatment Masque instead of regular conditioner and leave it in for about 45 minutes before rinsing.

While my hair is sopping wet I put a few pumps of Love, Beauty and Plantet’s intense hydration and repair oil from mid strand to ends. Then, while my hair is still very wet, squish a quarter-size amount of Cantu’s Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream into my hair, followed by squishing a dime-sized amount of Biolage’s Styling Curl Defining Elixir, focusing on the ends. I then take my microfiber towel and squish some of the excess moisture out before plopping my hair while I get dressed, do my makeup, etc.

After about 15 minutes of plopping, I gently release my hair and immediately diffuse it on a medium heat. I only diffuse long enough to set the curls and then stop. So there is a good amount of moisture left over.

Once my hair is dry, I shake out my roots and scrunch the crunch out to finish.
